  • Abba for the shoe-gazer generation! (That's a compliment, btw........)

  • Sweet.

  • They edited out the very fine instrumental outro/coda - its' way longer in the CD - Emma Anderson is very hot and Miki Berenyi is fine too.

  • The best band to come out of England since the Stones. Better than the Smith, Charlatan, Roxy Music, Stone Roses(all fantastic bands). Ealy Lush is genius, no arguement.

  • How many of you guys totally want to see the two of them turn and start swapping lipstick?

  • Lush are unique in that they produce an emotion in me when I hear them and it's like nothing else.

  • emma and mike was the best

  • The lalapalooza show in the early 90's was awesome! :D

  • @similarfrequency yes it was, I saw them in Orlando. Fantastic!

  • Oh goodness.

  • Emma is so cute!

  • I want to marry Emma.

  • lo maximo este tema

  • @MOSTechnology:

    I totally agree

  • Great this is just as cool as i rembered only I'm 40 now and doing a bong and shotgunning special brew whilst listening no loger seems like an option....

that change at 3.06 still gets me.

  • why did the drummer comitt suicide?

  • @BJORT He wanted to be a musician, but instead was a drummer.

  • @jimmyleg5 Drummers are musicians.

  • @BJORT He was suffering from depression for a good deal of time. One of his grandparents died around the time of the his suicide, which I would assume was one of the final straws to the point where he just couldn't take it anymore. I never found out exactly what caused most of his depression though.

  • @Naroon201 So sad. He was a really sweet person and will always be missed.

  • Love their vocals, swimming in echo, Robin Guthrie style

  • absolutly great, the power music and the girls.

    Etherialshroud 's absolutely right,

  • Shoe gazing music FTW!!!!

    Seriously...LUSH RULE!

  • Excellent song, though perhaps their worst, dumbest video. This really is an embarrassing video, especially after Sweetness and Light and De-Luxe.

  • @sumilagi Emma hated this video but she looks so beautiful!

  • Lush's first two albums were better than Radiohead's first two albums.

  • Comment removed

  • @ShinyPES0 I'm not taking anything away from Radiohead's achievement at all. Lush's first two albums were just that good.

  • ..and as Ms.Anderson was responsible for pretty much all of the songwriting in these earlier days then don't ya just luv her even more.

  • I really wonder what Miki looks like now! haha

  • @DanteDevil2727 Dunno but she did 3 songs recently with Seinking Ships. Doesn't sound like she's lost a step. Check out their Myspace.

  • Here here boys Emma was like "maryanne in gilligans island, everyone knew she was better looking than Ginger(miki)" but no one said it! Emma was "top shelf" what does she look like now???? Anyone got a pic of her I hear she had a bub in the last couple of years!

  • Comment removed

  • @muppetrocks1 Miki is Ginger and Emma is Maryanne! That's a great comparison. Both were hot but in completely different ways.

  • I could look at Emma all day long. What a beauty. I saw Lush play in Raleigh NC a long time ago. I still have the ticket stub in the CD jewel case.

  • @onankc Everybody goes on about Miki but I've always been an Emma guy too.

  • Not really my favorite of their songs...But the video...Well...Just look at it, how can anyone not love this?

  • I don't play rock band this is news to me. I found them when I heard a clip from the album Gala when iut came out here in the states. Been crazy about them since... never got to see them though

  • sexy

  • @MOSTechnology

    I totally agree

  • Lush really were one of my favourites of the female fronted bands of the 90s. I'm gay and I still have the hots for Miki Berenyi :D

  • vivian girls are doing stuff that sounds like this currently

  • thank you for the recommendation :)

  • Wow....this song is amazing. De-luxe is one thing, but this is awesome!

  • No, there never will be another Lush. This is the best band ever. This band can evoke feelings never felt or imagined. I love them and have for the past 15 years.

  • @Etherialshroud so true, no-one else will ever capture this emotion. i was lucky enough to get heavily into them back in 92, did kind of send me off the rails big time, but it was all worth it

  • @Etherialshroud Amen to that.

  • Emma looks hot!

  • 4ad is without a doubt the best record company ever. every band they picked up was great and i wish more people knew that. their legacy continues with bands like camera obscura.

just wanted to say that. we should have a holiday in their recognition or something

  • I know right! 4ad kick so much ass!!! I wish I was signed to 4ad!!!

  • Miki looks hott :P.

  • It's pretty clear, that early on in the band, Mickiye and Emma were pretty well hung up on each other.

  • Shut the fuck up, you.

  • Its a shame a song like this is rarely played on radio today

  • I haven't heard a song of this quality in easily 10 years on the radio.

  • Great song but the video is so poor

  • The band wasn't the same after the passing of the drummer. LUSH was always great to their fans, b4 they hit the stage, they were always with the fans watching the prior shows having a drink. LUSH rules!!!

  • I like Emma's Sing Sing stuff.

  • I love Emma's sing sing stuff too but i can't find much of her stuff on you tube-do you know where else i can find it on-line/

  • I know they have a live clip on youtube of Feels Like Summer.

  • Melcat, I caught that show. Didn't they postpone that show the next day? Miki was talking smack about Prince club. Weezer & Damn Builders opened up. Lush is the sh!t............Caught them 2 years prior to that at the "Palace" Hollywood!!!

  • I saw Lush in sept 1992 and twice in Los Angeles in 1994 at a club called Glam Slam which is no longer around. This single came out a month or two before the release of spooky and I had it. I just could not believe how awesome their sound was. To me , it was perfect.. Emma is the most beautiful lifeform ever created!!!!Lush changed my life in 1991.

  • Not to mention she was such a talented songwriter and guitarist. Alot of credit goes to Miki and she did a have a great personality in interviews and live recordings I've seen (I never got the chance to see them live), but Emma was the most talented in some ways. I think she didn't mind being in the shadows or sharing the spotlight. They both look so I great in this video and I wish there were more bands like them these days. Blonde Redhead or Asobi Seksu are two bands that come to mind.

  • Yes mjcastro, that show was cancelled, but they played 2 or 3 songs before the p.a. went out and after three hours the club promoters cancelled the show and told everyone to come back the next nite. I remember they played with Ride in 1990/91 and I knew of Ride , but not Lush at that time, how I wish to have made that show!

  • damn that redhead is beautiful

  • Simple concept video was super hot and captured the feeling of the song. I always thought their vocals almost sounded like they approached pure tones sometimes. Fun to make fun of that, but such gorgeous sound. This is my favorite song of all time from any band.

  • Miki is very pretty in this video, she a very distinct look wher ei cant put my finger on. awesome song.

  • Half-Japanese, Half-Hungarian.

    And just blessed with beauty.

  • No wonder why "Spooky" made n° 7 in UK charts.

  • my favorite band seriously

  • Sounds like a wonderous mix of The Charlatans and Slowdive!

Such a shame Lush just missed the top 20. If they'd had another year or two there could have been a top 10, even a no.1.

Amazing they could change their sound at the flick of a switch. The early '90's material was so different to their last three releases.

  • Spooky was one of their best.

  • I agree - hopefully Spooky and Gala will be reissued. I'm another fan of the Cocteau Twins, and I like what Robin Guthrie added to the Lush sound. I also love Miki and Emma.

    Thanks to the uploader

  • Cocteau Twins are just amazing. I didn't know Guthrie got involved with Lush...ie. I fail at reading liner notes.

  • That would be awesome if they included some bonus tracks. They had some great stuff just released on compilations and singles. I have a 45 with a song called Sweetie that is just a great song only on that format.

  • What's up fatcat! Sing Sing is good, but really miss LUSH..........

  • Lush definately one of the best bands that came out of the UK.

  • Did you see them at Lollaplalooza #2 I believe??? They opened up the event!

  • No, I've never seen them live. I'm actually sad about that. I was 14 in 1992 when Lollaplalooza came to St Paul, MN. That was the year I first heard of them, though. I have friends that have seen them and said they were one of the best bands they saw live. I, like Nirvana, thought they would be around for ever. Chris was one of my favorite drummers and I'm sorry he died so young. Now I'm a little older than him and wonder why, but I still love this band over 10 years later.

  • I use to attend a lot of gigs, but when LUSH was in town (Los Angeles & Hollywood), I'll sneak cd's or pictures of them into the show cuz they were always roaming around the crowd. I have lots of autographs of them and had small conversations, that was very unique about them, gr88888 to their fans!

  • They played at First Ave (Purple Rain) in 1996. First Ave use to give away free tickets for shows (they probably still do, but I haven't live there in 8 years, but am moving back from Vegas in June). That night they gave away free tickets for Lush, but I think I had to work that night or didn't have a ride. Anyways, I missed them and kind of thought they would be around longer. It's regretable, but I still enjoy their album as I have just about everything they put out even on vinyl. HAHAHA

  • wow, you're lucky to have EVERYTHING by lush on vinyl! i never had the chance to see them either, do you have any info about why chris acland would end his life?

  • I have quite a collection of 90s music on vinyl including Lush. Even some rare stuff on both CD and LP. It nice that people are hearing their music even if it is unfortunately through Rock Band. I think I know what it's like to be suicidal, but always pull myself out of it. In fact, I think it's music like Lush that helps me get through some days. It's a shame that Chris Acland decided to leave this life. He is a favorite drummer of mine and they are a great influence on my own guitar playing.

  • why is it unfortunate that people hear about Lush from rock band? If it hadn't been for rock band i would have never heard of these guys and now I'm listening to a lot of their music and I love it!

  • better late than never!

  • I have to agree I TOTALY regret that I only heard of this band because of Rock Band.

  • I didn't find this from rockband. I found Lush from studying a variety of shoegaze bands. Mostly because i'm that type of person. I feel hallucinative and if you saw me in real life walking i'm always looking down or staring off into the sky.

  • I also have every Cocteau Twins record on vinyl. I love the sound of records.

  • well he did it JUST 2 days after emma anderson announced she was leaving the band to form sing-sing (which got put on hold after he killed himself). draw your own conclusions from that.

  • 5*****

  • LUSH!!! yea... have 4 singles and 2 albums still somewhere stored away... thx for upload

  • I remember seeing them at SUNY Purchase in NY back in ... must have been 1990! It was great, it was such a small space, almost like a living room! Of course they were great live.

  • This song is beautiful... they are beautiful...

  • There are or at least have been rumors of a Lush reunion as of late. Who will they get to take over for Chris?

  • i really really like the posture that they have in the video. The fact that they are so together and singing. I don´t know, i find it very sexy and beautiful.

  • That would be why I fell in love with this song... seeing the video on Much Music. I mean, the song is great, but to see it with the video made an impact I can't deny. I always had the hots for Emma. ;) I would have liked to have seen them at least once live.

  • I always liked them...but I suppose only becuase I like the Cocteau Twins and the girls were pretty.

    This video is naff tho!

  • indeed.
