I assume these attacks were committed by the "Alqaeda Taliban" and not the "moderate Taliban" that Obama wants to include in Karzai's govt...right? I would be interested to know what those "moderate/less radical elements" of the Taliban think of these attacks, as well as their thoughts on the implementation of Shariah law, Womens/Gay Rights, and an Islamic Caliphate in Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, West Asia, and the Greater Middle East(to start). I wonder how they feel about these issues.

Sadly, the only way a military campaign against the likes of these would work, is for the larger/military power to behave exactly (if not WORSE) as the insurgents do. The problem is precisely that the western powers have rules of engagement which they live up to most of the time, despite the perception of the contrary.

Until the U.S. led mission begins to terrorize the locals into submission as a matter of policy, a primarily military solution will continue to fail.

Mc was asked to make his assessment and requests...Well, he did, and has been ignored by the Administration who for some unknown reason decided that the way to go was to badmouth Karzai, and seek negotiations with "moderate Talibans"(who ride on Unicorns). TAKE-CLEAR-HOLD Push the Taliban out. That plan requires TROOPS.
