I'm a guitarist and also have a sitar which I play very badly! One prerequisite is being able to sit on the floor with your legs crossed and your left foot with the sole facing up to hold the beast! Anyway, as far as I'm concerned it's the most difficult instrument to play. I have the greatest respect for this lady. The work ethic required to achieve this level of musicianship is unbelievable. She could have just coasted through life but decided to dedicate her life to music.
@paayoub when? i listened a couple times and can't quite figure out what you're referring to. maybe i'm missing it. i've been listening to her dad for like 12 straight hours and hear no mistakes here.
Me gusta este tipo de música en especial el sonido de la citara y si es instrumental como en este caso, es sensacional. Por otro lado odio la música indi pop, lo considero un asco.

I remember as a little guy, watching and listening to Ravi Shankar with my father. The sitar is an amazing instrument and I love hearing it. Well I didn't find out until recently that Ravi's daughter played, too! She's very very good with the Sitar!
Hey, guys, beware, Barry, who goes by "@homfeldb", is a FLAMING QUEER! He sent me this message after looking at my UFO video about how he loves to come to channels like this one, where he mastubates while thinking about body builders' images!! EEEooooouughhh!!! Gross!
He said he likes to befriend Hindis, and later come on to them! Then he says he tries to scam money from them!! BEWARE!!!!
Why don't you actually listen to him play? That's one of the greatest violinists in the world, Joshua Bell. Think before you speak on something you are 100% ignorant of--Bell blends very well with this group and adds a lot of energy
I have a friend that he's never played one he started playing the first time and sounded like he had been playing for years.of corse he was a musical genius.rest in peace lendsay Dixon. Miss you brother
@Southerntredkill Dude she just played or rather copied exactly what her father has played before. Indian music is about improvisation not copying. & the people who disliked her music actually have a clue that she is a horrible sitar player or rather Indian classical musician. She has no talent or soul in her playing. It doesnt matter how technically proficient you might be unless & until you bring out the soul of the raga/piece you are not considered to be a good musician.
@tintinkg l believe what she is trying to do here is to approach it from a different direction... which is, trying to perform a composed score rather than taking a basic raag and building on top of it(improvisation). She is playing with a western violinist who needs a score .. she is limited by that to some extent as well... its not necessarily a copy of her father. its just another performance of the same composed score...
This is good music... allow yourself to enjoy it :)
@takdumadum I enjoy the tune that is for sure. But it is the softness that is missing I dont know if I can explain it though. It is very mechanical & it frustrates me. Because nowadays people want to be technically good without understanding that you have to sell your soul to what you are playing. It just frustrates me so much. I didnt want to pick on you man. :)
A sitar is playing a sitar. I don't have much music knowledge but i heard you have to have instinct for learnign music. I wish i had that.
