What fly were you using? The carp over here in NJ don't seem to want anything other then bread and corn. I've created myself a pretty good imitation of a floating peice of bread, I call the "bread fly" but I've yet to try it out. Its basicly made from cork along with the stuffings from a stuffed animal doll.
