  • oh how i love aLUmINIum

  • This makes me think.. Isn't plastic better to recycle than aluminium, and takes less power to make the parts? I'm not saying Apple does it wrong, but I'm happy with my laptop as it is. I can browse the web and talk with people, and it only costs me $300 :)

  • @larsostli Nope. You can recycle aluminium a milion times and it stays the same (it's just solid metal). Plastic degrades in the process (and it probably won't be used after recycling for the same purpuse)... Also plastic isn't sturdy enough...

  • Too smart design = loud fan and damn, overheating

  • This is the 2009 video too.. I doubt the process of wasting tons of energy to mill it out has changed any. Milling a product out like this isn't innovative or eco friendly at all it's the brute force method of getting it done. If you recycle the computer you'll PAY 20+ dollars for them to scrap out the 50cents worth of valuable components.

  • HUR DUR LOOK AT THIS $50 PIECE OF METAL, CAN I HAVE TO FOR $2000 PLZ

If your wondering if you should buy a mac, the answer is no you shouldn't. Apple has scammed millions of people out of their money by advertising how "innovative" their products are when all they have is a lack of hardware for a higher price. And saying you want it for an operating system is bullshit considering you can get it on any other computer if you know what your doing, or if you just take it to a tech guy.

    Fuck Apple

  • Mmmm Pastaa

  • I feel bad watching this in 360 p

  • barf

  • Can't wait for the 2012 MacBook Pro

  • @TakingAndChanging dude i have the money to buy a mac and its killing me to buy it but the 2012 mac is coming out!

  • a couple months later its gonna be thinner

  • I really hate their aluminium body. It gets dent so damn easily.....

  • for just how much we care (smile)

  • Thumbs up if you hate the the way this guy articulate's his words to make it look like making a laptop was his purpose in live and he put so much passion in it.

I hate his fucking faces and gestures.

  • I own a MBP 2011 and I love them. Apple makes some awesome devices, but I hate this video. First because this is not the way they make the unibody design, scooping a MBP from one block of aluminium creates a tremendous amount of loss and second because apple marketing is so so so fucking aggressive and they act like they are some sort of gods. Macbook Pro's are not like a stone, they feel like one, it's true but they are made like any other laptops on the face of the earth from different parts.

  • @florinmldvn82ro Agreed, they lie and brainwash the hell out of non tech-savvy people. They claim the mac pro with a hd5770 have 3x faster graphics than standard computers, well that may look impressive but when you know that they're talking about 250$ computers it's not so impressive anymore, and when you know that a 250$ graphic card kicks the shit out of the hd5770 i guess that explains it all. They use subjective language and not real figures so people can't compare stuff

  • @florinmldvn82ro

How does making a single MBP from one block of aluminum create a tremendous amount of loss?

  • @Markiash the body of the MBP is made out of a very slim sheet of aluminium it's just not logic to carve a small sheet of aluminium from a whole block. Also the slimmer the block of aluminium gets the more is exposed to vibration, especially in the middle of the keyboard. If a MBP would be carved out of a block of aluminium then 90% of the aluminium is wasted in the process of carving.

Same goes for the iPhone 4s. Releasing a new design would have been a much more expensive investment for Apple

  • @florinmldvn82ro think where the waste aluminium will go, it will be tossed into the recycling bag or they are going to form that waste into another block by tossing into the lava making it to a liquid then harden

  • does it have an hdmi port?

  • @MrHighFRUCTOSE no u have 2 buy an adapter for the thunderbolt port :(

  • What's thunderbolt? What is it good for???

    Thanks!

  • Wow. It's a complete opposite from DELL Precision. I am a disappointed user of DELL Precision. Dell's flagship workstation notebook.

    1. Expensive,

    2. Bad quality built.

    3. Horrible 3rd party software / Dellware that is reworked by dell again from 3rd party OEM like Synaptics. It's like their software was never tested.!!!

They should take the name precision from the word dell.

  • the thumbail makes it look like some future sci-fi movie

  • That's what she said

  • AMAZING

    just a question

is it way too much for a 15 year old to own one of these for school & movie making purposes? i dont want to be a brat or anything but the OS and overall design collide to form one amazing piece of tech.

  • @dasaadz It's a bit expensive for a 15 years old. You should get one when you turn 18. It cost way too much...By the time you turn 18, Apple will have a brand new one just for your generation ^^

  • @xiexie711 tge left out aluminium material is recycled and the water is also used for other process in the making of MBP ..

  • para elaborar esta carcasa se utiliza un proceso de mecanizado con una maquina-herramienta denomnada fresadora

  • come on, people, making a single mac laptop will waste so much precious water and other material which we care about. Think about it and Think seriously. OK, it seems to me that it will contaminate more than other manufactures and make our environment a much worse place. I would more prefer a thinkpad or dell in this case.

  • @xiexie711 right, because they're great on the environment. I'm not a mac fanboy, I have PCs, but it's stilly to think that the macs are that much worse for the environment, especially when compared to crappy companies like Dell

  • @xiexie711 and the crappy plastic isn't bad for the environment do you know how much water almost every product in the world takes to create. It takes about 39,000 gallons of water to make a car. 1800 gallons for blue jeans 400 gallons for a cotton t shirt. In the process of creating paints one gallon actually uses 13 gallons of water.

  • Thunderbolt will create a bottleneck as HDD is limited by rotational speeds.

  • So, you basically cut off a few grams by creating the "unibody", and you're calling it a HUGE breakthrough?

    Jesus christ...

  • it's not just 1 part but is it.

  • My Mac App Store is slow and gives me the beach ball quite often, why?

  • lol fundamentally thinner and lighter :P

  • Whats the song?!

  • just liked dis video but at the end just put me off lmao 2:45 its just a macbook

  • Im getting the 15"

  • @DPCB01 same here

  • aluminyum lol

  • I've heared about a complete redesign for the MBP in 2012.

Would it wise to buy a MBP now, or wait for the new model?

  • @mitzdaking If you need it now, get it now. If you can wait, wait. But keep in mind that the new macbook design MAY have some issues at launch. Can't go wrong either way, the macbook pro now is still great.

  • but will it blend?

  • the song at the beginning is called "pendulum" it is also in garageband

  • Can some1 plz tell me the song

    Thnx

  • is this apple's offical secret channel?

  • wots the song

  • im gonna say is,IT SO FUCKING EXPENSIVE

  • @ultimatetoturial56 and ineffective as shit. break a little thing and its another -$1000 for your pocket. Go Dell

  • @ultimatetoturial56 A 1200 dollars? That isn't very much for what you get.

  • @TechCLIQ 1200 u get intel hd 3000..WTF?

  • Marry me Macbook Pro?

  • unibody make the laptop to be thinaaa and lightaa

  • @cramtoro Yeah but the thing is its heavy as hell.

  • @cramtoro fundamentally

  • @cramtoro don't laugh at a english genius lol

  • @cramtoro 1:42 "sort of like how you make pastaa"

  • I had my doubts about Mac's because they really do have a lot of compatability issues, but once you have one your realize that almost everything works with it! A great buy and high-speed laptop!

  • Pulling the troll to another level...

  • I remember seeing this ad for the first time. I thought "man that guy is painful acting like an inspired autistic". I would rather watch f... Ballmer jumping around, howling like a crack head in his sweaty shirt. Word.

  • @incpuable word

  • 2 pc fanboys watched this video

  • @jskuzma Thanks, did a bit more research and it's something to do with 10gb/s file transfer speeds? that would be amazingly fast if there were hard drives built specifically for that use (but like you said there won't be any for a year)

  • still to expensive for a college budget...i guess im stuck with a dell

  • what does the thunderbolt port do? is it something to do with firewire for editing purposes? or is it something to do with apple-tech?

  • @Robbinio2 Its a IO port.

Like a USB or FireWire port but is brand new from Intel.

We should see it on more PC's to come but Apple is the first to adopt it.

Don't expect Thunderbolt periphs for another year though....

  • Most IT- companies put there force in selling their own products. At the same time many of their buyers do not completely know how to use the programs. Reason is the lack of info how to du how to use. The organization at apple mostly put up Advertise her at youtube. IF i wan´t learn how to use my final cut or Garageband, I have to get help from others.

Why don´t U care about your buyers a little bit more. The info U have on the net at your homepage or here is not enough. With respect to U.

  • It is cool, no doubt! Thanks!

  • this isnt new :/

  • @0303940 Yes it is, if you look at 0:12 you will see the new Thunderbolt Port which the previous Macbook Pro's didn't have..

  • @TheAppleDatabase Its actually the same audio and the majority of the clips as well. The difference is it was edited so that the angles that exposed the ports on the sides showed the the new thunderbolt slot... Good thinking to do this edit ;).

  • @TheAppleDatabase its cos apple hasnt changed the design for years lazy bastards

  • @0303940 Its the "remixed" version of the older videos. They simply added a shot of the side of the new Macbook Pro's thunderbolt port but basically all the other footage was taken from the older videos. :)

  • @0303940 Dumbass, this is what happens when you don't pay attention to the video.

  • @0303940 retarded bastard
