unfortunately El Bulli its closing doors next year...no one can afford to lose money in a business...El Bulli is losing 500,000 euros a year...why? with only 70 customers enjoying Bulli's cousine daily, it doesn't pay the bills. Ferran Adria is better off opening restaurants with "less" expenses, such as "developing and creating new dishes" which requires many hours and many people working on it.
New restaurants using his already famous name can bring in lots of money for Adria.

There around 30 staff in the kitchen and even more on the flor for service but only 14 are payed, the rest are their to learn, it's in the book a day at El Bulli. He also sell expensive kitchen tool's and products for proffesional cook's. He make menu for airplaine compagnie and other stuff. The restaurant is closed for a recontruction that it. and he is ritch.

@GoatseObama . Actually, it was bringing no profit since 2000. It has been maintained with money from Adrias books and so on. Selling is not their goal. That's why prices have been so "low" and why they will close it in July.
@ivanmanko but isn´t therea like a waiting list for a table like 2 years?i guess the quality of the food is just too costly.but people who go there know what they´ll pay.so if it is not making money(´cause i know it has excellent reviews)he must not have had a good finance/profit plan or what ever you call it.he&team may put their whole heart into every morsel they produce but they also must have profit.so maybe they are better off with a resto that is not excusive and serves more "normal"food

Although these dishes are very creative and are probably the pinnacle of food creations as high art, this is still frivolous bourgeois crap that is a slap in the face to a great percentage of the world who is starving. Art has it's worth in this world and can be uplifting for anyone who encounters it, this on the other hand is for privileged snobs and the only way we can even have a restaurant like this is if they are riding on the backs of people who are poor and will never eat this food.

Secondly, it's called the library dude, not everyone on the internet has their own computer. That's not to say that my life isn't more privileged than a great majority of the world. Not to mention, computers are functional tools. People make livings off of using them. There is nothing functional or beneficial when a rich person spends lavish sums on a bite to eat.

But we, both you and I, don't have to make that choice, nonetheless, it is a luxury unless you directly work in the computer field...do you? ...The Mexican restaurant will benefit much more since most Mexican restaurants have 4 line cooks that take care of pretty much everything. El Bulli has 40 professional chefs, each taking care of a single task to insure perfection. I KNOW Haiti has musicians, they are called "Starving artists. I am talking about professional musicians. I have been playing guitar since I was 11, I don't consider myself a musician, not everyone that picks up the bongos is a musician my friend.

@esposcar personally i like to eat at my local chinese where i dish what i want from a very large selection of stuff then weight it in and pay for the food .....that way i can taste and eat as much as i want from the massive pile on the dish...not like el bulli crap where u pay 50 bucks to sample carrot air....what arip off...yah yah i am a low life unsophisticated dude and u know it all.....dude get a life pls....i also like my local indian restaurant....15 bucks for a 4 course meal.....

Adrià later confirmed, in an October 2010 Vanity Fair article, that the restaurant will be closing permanently after July 2011
Get in while you can sad to see one of the best restaurants in the world have to close ,but I kind of wondered how much profit it was bringing.

Although these dishes are very creative and are probably the pinnacle of food creations as high art, this is still frivolous bourgeois crap that is a slap in the face to a great percentage of the world who is starving. Art has it's worth in this world and can be uplifting for anyone who encounters it, this on the other hand is for privileged snobs and the only way we can even have a restaurant like this is if they are riding on the backs of people who are poor and will never eat this food.

Secondly, it's called the library dude, not everyone on the internet has their own computer. That's not to say that my life isn't more privileged than a great majority of the world. ...The Mexican restaurant will benefit much more since most Mexican restaurants have 4 line cooks that take care of pretty much everything. El Bulli has 40 professional chefs, each taking care of a single task to insure perfection. I KNOW Haiti has musicians, they are called "Starving artists. I am talking about professional musicians. I have been playing guitar since I was 11, I don't consider myself a musician, not everyone that picks up the bongos is a musician my friend.

ahi no hay de eso... se lo montan de otra manera, y por los caretos q ponen deve de estar cojonudo. Mis padres fueron en una ocasion a un restaurante d alta cocina. el primer plato era una linea verde y otra naranja manchando el plato. Les sorprendio un poco pero cuando la probaron. Fliparon!! y asi con todos los platos y postres. No sn sitios dond saciar el hambre si no probar cosas nuevas... y muy ricas xDD ah... no se cuanto pagaron.. les invitaron jejejejee
