On television there is an add where a little black girl sings our national anthem and also forgets the words of the anthem....then all of a sudden the croud(supporters) started to sing the anthem to help her....This is how we are suppose to be united as a country, But now in Ard`s case nobody was singing along in the background...and also go and look at it and see how the whole springbok team was sitting down when Ard started to sing til the end....are they not supposed to stand for it??????

Your willingness to make up for it says a lot about how remorseful you are, this rendition is better, but then again, who are we to judge, no ones perfect. Why didnt you do the honorable thing and tell Super Sport to play a recording instead. You would have saved your reputation and not shamed the RSA.
You clearly didn't know the lyrics or the chords well enough. Not many people buy the 'I'm so nervous' deal. Especially coming from a seasoned musician. An apology would have been more fitting than excuses. No one is impressed that you finally learnt the anthem after butchering it on national TV. I hope the Bok's win.

On television there is an add where a little black girl sings our national anthem and also forgets the words of the anthem....then all of a sudden the croud(supporters) started to sing the anthem to help her....This is how we are suppose to be united as a country, But now in Ard`s case nobody was singing along in the background...and also go and look at it and see how the whole springbok team was sitting down when Ard started to sing til the end....are they not supposed to stand for it??????

This is damage control. It's easy to judge now of course, but the bottom line is, you didn't know the anthem. Of course now you know it. And you're obviously not a Springbok rugby supporter. Else you would here this anthem almost every weekend. Your life must sucj right now for sure. How else, portraying a proud South African, being booked for this massive occasion. No nerves here.
