This is cool. U must be the biggest fan of Severus Snape. Plz see my video too at /watch?v=C09MuzL_JFI --> For the greatest character of Snape. Thank you.
am i the only one looking at this sexually? title is "Snape's true feelings for harry potter" and the first scene is that scene with the coat that's in every video that says snape is sexi. I find him attractive but this video is borderline pedophilia! xD
Snape was more protective and gentler to Harry than Sirius was. Sirius continuously called Harry "James" whereas Snape's most violent demonstration were usually in Harry's best interest. Even Dumbledore didnt have the obsessive guardianship Snape did. Truly a beautiful characterization
@Bmroland11 Who delivered the news of the prophecy which led to him to kill Harry or Neville to Voldemort? Snape. Hence the reason for Snape's guilt and this entire argument.
Snape hated James Potter deeply, but he also loved Lily Evans until the very end. Harry reminded Snape a lot of James, so Snape held a grudge against Harry throughout the series. However he also vowed to protect Harry, no matter how much he might dislike him, because Harry was the last remnant of Lily. Severus Snape's tragic love for Lily Evans makes him a sad but noble character. I remember tearing up when Snape looked into Harry's eyes before he died...Harry always had Lily's eyes...
It's just sad how Harry thinks that Snape is evil all the way. Only until Deathly Hollows till he realizes that Snape is actually helping his love, Lily, whom is also Harry's mother take care of Harry.
@megadude - Snape did kill dumbledore..out of loyalty. He didn't want to do it, it killed him to do it, but he did it anyway, because that was the plan and dumbledore insisted.
Acctually..I think its more layered than that. I think Severus loves Harry like the son that should've been his. He loved Lily, and therefore loves Harry. It annoys him that Harry is so much like his boyhood rival, James, and he is hard on him, also because Severus is kindof a 'sleeper' for Dumbledore. Snape can help Harry in ways his obvious friends can't. Severus is one of the noblest, yet unsung characters in the story, loving Harry as much as others, but may never get the credit.
I think Harry is more like Lily than James. Dumbledore thinks so too. Maybe that's why Snape can't bear to look at Harry, because it reminds him of the woman he loved and killed.
It wasn't Severus Snape who killed Lily, it was Voldemort--i.e., Tom Riddle--who attacked Harry's family...and murdered the woman Severus loved. For that, for killing Lily, Severus worked against Voldemort, sold him misleading information, and worked to destroy him. And while it is true that he didn't show much love for Harry--he did help him.
When Snape overheard the prophecy being forseen to Dumbledore by Trelawney he told Voldemort about it; thus Voldemort deduced that it must either be Harry or Nevielle that was his potential killer. Therefore, Snape inadvertantly killed Lily, forhe supplied th information! I dont know why this is getting thums down, it's a fact of the book!
Not saying Snape didnt help Harry BUT! Snape delivered the information to voldemort concerning the 'chosen one'. From this information Voldemort deduced that it must either be harry or Neville that he must murder, therefore Snape inadvertantly caused Lily's death. Belive me, I know Voldemort killed the Potters, I'm far from a noob. I felt almost insulted by the insinuation! aha
@GazzaGlitta when Snape told Voldemort the part of the prophecy he was loyal to Voldemort..when he(Snape)found out that the prophecy will kill Lily he changed to the light side becoming a spy sooo...when he said the information concerning the "chosen one" he didn't know that it would put Lily in danger.
@GazzaGlitta oh dear god you mentioned that Snape killed Potter mother , and i said ''what u want to say that Snape killed potter mother '' like is really true or not ???
@aames666 Well. Snape accidenly supplied to information to Voldemort about the prophecy of boy being born that would cause his downfall. Vold then went on to try and kill baby Harry. Snape didn't know it would be the Potter's son, but he did supply the info, so hence he inadvertantly was a factor that contributed to her death. Phew.
@GazzaGlitta But Snape begged Voldemort to save Lilly's life. And Voldemort told her to step aside and she wouldn't, so the Dark Lord had to kill her too. In the 7th book we find out that Snape was Dumbledore's from the moment Voldemort threatened Lily Potter!
@catielyn1289 He still inadvertantly supplied the information, wheter he meant to or not. Hence his extreme guilt! He may have begged, but he could not undo the information he had fed to Voldy.
@GazzaGlitta haha i like the Voldy reference. In the 7th book Peeves says, " And Voldy's gone moldy, so now let's have fun!" And you are right. Snape should have been Lilly's true husband!
@GazzaGlitta I think that he is incredibly similar to Lily, but his looks are so insanely like his father's that it causes Snape to be sickened by Harry.
Your statement is most likely very true as well, but I think that mine should be added in there.
@byemynameishi I second that. It seems Snape is tortured by the mixture of love and hate that he must feel towards Harry. Parts of the person he loved and hated the mose all in one.
@em91198able If you had bothered to read all my comments, or understood anything about Snape's character and the reason for his extreme guilt, then you would understand that Snape played a crucial, if accidental part in Lily and all the Potter's deaths. Please try to grasp the whole of the argument before you make sweeping and useless interjections.
@GazzaGlitta I totally agree with you, but how did snape kill lily? In the half-blood prince, it's true that harry finds out that snape accidentally told voldy the first-half of the prophecy but he was still voldy's servant at the time. and he didn't know how voldy would take it. Snape didn't know who voldermort would kill. and he never realised it was lily.....
@GazzaGlitta He didn't mean to kill her, *spoilers*
and he spent the rest of his life protecting her son and hating Voldemort for killing her. If Snape knew that Voldemort would kill Lily, he would have never turned to the Dark side, and as soon as Lily died he spent the rest of his life against Voldemort, secretly. I think it hurt him even more when he remembers that he was partially responsible for her death. It must have hurt him really badly, even more so when Harry turned up.
@yyannywong His guilt represents his acceptance of his participation in her death. It is obvious that I know he did not literally kill her, for all you noobs telling me that 'Voldemort did it'. Clearly I am just talking about Snape's knowledge and guilt that he effectively killed Lily in the way that he inadvertantly caused her death.
@GazzaGlitta Yes, he was guilty because he played a part, but he never had the intention of killing her, it killed him, inside, to have played a part in her death. He was a background hero that was the one who truly protected Harry, more than Sirius, or anyone of the Order, or even Dumbledore, ever did. Snape may have played an unintentional part in her death, but he was tortured for it for the rest of his life. Also, watch the Prince's Tale- in the movie. :)
@yyannywong I didn't like the Prices tale in the film. I thought it was rushed and lacked the epiphinal quality of that chapter of the book. Snape's death was very violent though, which I thought was brave of them.
@GazzaGlitta Yes...I guess if you read the book, the Prince's Tale would have been pretty good- witha ll the great acting and all, but they should've made it rather longer and more explanatory, so those who haven't read the book would understand, too. Yes, Snape's Death was rather different from the book, but I guess it turned out alright, and it was obviously very sadenning.
@JennJenification Like a Trillion times, and it's so true. I think Snape had mixed feelings for Harry because of loving Lilly and hating James, but Snape was one who fought for Harry until his end. R.I.P. Severus Snape!
@JennJenification: hmm I don't know - don't get me wrong I like Snape but I find it hard to see that he loved Harry as a son. No matter how awesome he is he was always a ***** to Harry.
@JennJenification I'm not so sure, I think he hates Harry because it is the son of the man who stole the woman he loved, he protects him with his life out of love for Lilly.
She says so in an interview by NBC called Harry Potter: the final chapter.
Quote from JK Rowling:
'Harry forgives him--- as we know, from the epilogue, Harry-- Harry really sees the good in Snape ultimately. I wanted there to be redemption and I wanted there to be forgiveness. And Harry forgives, even knowing that until the end Snape loathed him unjustifiably. it's totally, totally unfair that he loathes him so much but anyway.'
@JennJenification I, honestly, think Snape was wrong when he said that Harry Potter was like his father, because he wasn't. Harry never bullied anyone. He just wanted to be normal. I think Severus trule disliked Potter because he reminded the older of himself. >.> Just sayin', Harry was the one being bullied by Malfoy. For no real reason, too.
Severus Snape Hates Harry Potter because Harry reminded him of James and James was mean to Severus and also beacause Severus loved Lily and beacuase James got Lily as his girlfriend and then she became James wife and then Harry came so that is why Severus hates Harry!
I love Severus Snape, but do not think that Harry is arrogant. His father was arrogant, but not Harry. As Dumbledore said one: ´You only see what you want to see, Severus´.
dang it, i never got why he was always so mean to harry. now i know that it's because he was Jame's son. Sort of odd, really, hating someone for their ancestry.
Great work! Shame about the song though lol Love Snape! If only he'd not had to keep his care for Harry hidden, he could've been like a surrogate father for Harry after Sirius died.
I love this hehe! Especially: 2:03-2:04 (The grab of the shoulder then the slight tip of the head works so well!)...2:10-2:11 (Looks like Severus is actually saying the words to the song)...2:57-3:02 (The sleeve bit is ace!)...3:06-3:09 (Severus's face fits to the scene so well!)...as for the ending, it's fabulous!...Love Severus Snape...Thanks for posting...
i love Snape!!! Harry is arrogant though....he doesn't pay attention and he thinks that scince he is famous he can get away with things..but like snape said "clearly fame isn't everything.." i love snape!!
I agree actually and he always got pissed at them for nothing, like in the fifth one when they know everything about the order and he knows nothing even tho they couldnt tell him cause voldemort would easily have found out if they sent an owl and shit. Harry was pissed at them for not jeopardizing the whole order or the phoenix just cause he wanted to be involved.
He's THE hero, nevertheless he never did anything to deserve it (except disobeying rules, laws and advices, being imprudent and blinded by his persuasion that he knows best - obviously he does not).If he hadn't had such an incredible luck, he wouldn't have survived even his 1st year at Hogwarts.
Also, he seems to have all the possible positive character features and extreme goodies annoy me in real life.
(To be honest, I'm an absolute Snape-admirer and that's my only reason)
Oh and I really like the ending, where Snape totally freak out on Harry Potter!! It's just like if he had said 'Now you have rejected me...and because of that... I've got only two more words to say to you - "FUCK YOU!"' Right!?;D
I love this vid. It's so happy. You did such a great job of finding really appropriate clips to match the lyrics, like "don't let your demons pull you down." Great lip synching too. Love that Snape flinch after Harry hits the bus window.
You should tag it with "Take That" or "Shine", though. I had a hell of a time trying to find this again after I forgot the title.

Well Snape always thought Harry was a spoiled boy with him being the Boy Who Lived and all so that contributed to the hatred.
Then there's the fact that Harry didn't do his homework for Snape's class...
And how Snape stepped on some gum in the morning to which he blamed Harry for.
Oh wait, that was his own fault XD

I have loved all the harry potter movies, and I think all the caracters are unique.

I adore the way lyrics and scenes go together.Very nice work, though I strongly dislike Harry as a character.

Why do you dislike Harry?!
lavenderblossom 2 years ago
He's THE hero, nevertheless he never did anything to deserve it (except disobeying rules, laws and advices, being imprudent and blinded by his persuasion that he knows best - obviously he does not).If he hadn't had such an incredible luck, he wouldn't have survived even his 1st year at Hogwarts.
Also, he seems to have all the possible positive character features and extreme goodies annoy me in real life.
(To be honest, I'm an absolute Snape-admirer and that's my only reason)

I LOVE Snape. He's my favorite tied with Harry (then Dumbledore) but I suppose we all have our own opinions ^_^
Hey do you know what song this is? It's really good!!

The song was 'Shine' by the English band 'Take That'. You should hear the rest of their songs they're amazing, very popular in the U.K

I agree. Potter is so arrogant, even more so in the books. I'm surprised Ron and Hermione can stand him.

Oh and I really like the ending, where Snape totally freak out on Harry Potter!! It's just like if he had said 'Now you have rejected me...and because of that... I've got only two more words to say to you - "FUCK YOU!"' Right!?;D
Good job!

Thanks! I should probably have guessed since they say "Shine" about a hundred times.
Love the Spiderpig!
