Anyone who remembers those old "Rio Hair Naturalizer" infomercials from the 90s knows why this Essence of Jackie relaxer segment is SO damn funny! On the "Rio" infomercials, the inventor demonstrated how 'mild' the product was by scooping some on his finger and eating it! The women who tried it on their hair, however, had the same very bad results depicted here, and Rio was sued right out of business. I wish someone would post that infomercial on Youtube--it was a trip!
