The reason why dye does not wash off your hands is because it gets into your cells where it is no good and can only do harm. That is why you must scrub extremely hard to get it off your skin so you essentially scrub the top layer of skin off that is affected by dye

3. Something does not have to be radioactive to cause damage to DNA theyre are many molecules that could act as a nucleotide and get involved in DNA sequence. They actually use radioactive dyes on DNA strands and which then are traceable so we can what the DNA base pair sequence is in a cell.

2. 1 mm is 1 tenth of a centimetre. That would hurt as fucking hell if you scraped that off of your hands.

3. Look, the point is that the dye isn't actually harmful. I'm fairly certain that the state of Illinois would look into the components of a dye before dumping it into a river. I assure you that there are next to no harmful materials.
