hey hey! Have you thought about the X7 Guitar Mind Implant (do a google search)? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my friend learned to jam with it.
Is it me or is strumming with your hand easier than with a pick? I tend to miss strings when strumming up. I use my thumbnail for strumming up and my other four fingers for strumming down. Any tips?
amazing video! you were very clear and communicated your points well, which was unbelievably helpful for me. I just started guitar on my own and it's nice to know that there are a couple key strumming patterns I can learn, because I tried coming up with my own patterns and they were terrible. definitely subscribing to this channel!
I personally don't like the idea of standardizing the way to strum. For example, if you take David Gilmour on Wish You Were Here it is possible to see that he does not necessarily hit the high E during all the strummings. For me standardizing goes against effects creation by the player and sometimes it does not lead to a clear sound.
lot of kids tail their strum off and miss out the high string! I do that often and was wondering why my G chord wasnt sounding the same as yours! :P I got it now! thanx man! u're gud!
i really really agree with what you've said about the disadvantage of tabs not having strum patterns. i mean, wouldn't really sound like the song you like to play if you had different strumming patterns than the real one..
i love watching your tutoring vids very ...ouch i just hurt my BT1 taylor when i was writing that comment.................... you vids vey helpfull.....thanks.......
i've always wanted to play the guitar, and i didn't know where to start, been self learning for years, if i found this simple basics sooner, i might have been playing some songs fully, not just intro tabs lol, thanks you're an awesome teacher
You are aewsome, Good teacher. I am meeting you very late. Now, I am realizing my guitarist (from whom I learned), how much he was hurry on teaching me.......(haan, he taught me as if like, catching a running train....) !!!! but that was also cool !!!
I'm just learning to play guitar and never understood strumming until I watched your video. Now I can hear the strumming in other songs and even wrote my own. Thanks!
@mopbrothers Yeah, sometimes different teachers say different things. It gets confusing, but the most important thing to do is to find what's comfortable to you and what you like. Just listen to all teachers whether they are right or wrong and take what you like out of it.
Just the opposite of what my teacher says---strum with the wrist, and loosely. The arm doesn't need to go up and down. The wrist can do it. All these differences between teachers.
Great Lesson! helped me a lot with strumming but i can not get Chords! i havent played guitar before but im guessing chords are very important?? can somebody send me to a good video or something to help me to understand chords?
@T3H3PICFAIL3R Press down right before the fret to get the cleanest sound, also make sure your not muting open strings in a chord by accident. The more you play a chord the more comfortable you get with it.
i couldnt believe myself! welllll i am just a beginner and i was struggling but this video helped me alot to improve thank you sooo muchhhh you are the best teacher ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL all I can really play are notes and chords and i can play 1 song, my teacher gets SO PISSED that I can barely read a note and my later chords I never remember, just the simple C D G and Eminor, I really hope I wake up one day
You doing fantastic job, cos of you i am able to know and learn something. I daily follow your lessons and believe me that works fantastic. You gotta a do me a favor, great if you could tell all BAR chords and their tricks.
