  • Awesome x10000

  • It Only Does Everything.

  • amazing. O.O

  • nerds rock!

  • I don't care if it's wobbly or not. The fact that you built everything from scratch, even the legs, is simply amazing. I'm 16 and just beginning in robotics, I look forward to building something like this in the future

  • Nice. Check out Odbot's Hexpod with two independently moving eyes. (Essentially a Decapod)

  • WOW!!! THIS IS A TOY FOR ALL LIFETIME)))

  • Why can´t we learn to do that in regular school instead of maths :'(

  • how the fuck did you use linux terminal on your phone virtualization cause thats the only thing i can think of holy fuck you a genius i've been trying to build andriod i-phone applications to virtualize an i phone but im failing its been 2 months i manned to get it to work for individual applications but not for operating systems dude you the man .

  • Heh, I like how when you hit the PS button the bot shudders and slowly falls to the ground like its dying :)

  • so awesome dude, imagine a massive walker in the same design as your minature one and you're controlling it from a PS3 controller...technology is crazy

  • Can u recommend me a good online shop where i can buy the servos? , i cant find 1 servo motors shop here (Latin America, panama)

  • IT'S ALIIIVE

  • wow!!!

  • very nice brooooo i like it

  • is the the cpu/controller a fit pc

  • saw this from the website. bear down. nice job. you have quite a future ahead of you.

  • It will give me nightmares O_O

  • saw this on the UA website, dude you're going to go far, congrats on your offer from Intel too! I've considered doing an ECE minor, I may make it a second major with CS now :P

  • wait... it is complete wireless, isnt' it?

  • That is ridiculously amazing! What's the next step? Are going going to try to make it move faster? Make it fully wireless?

  • This is the coolest shit I have ever seen. It makes me want to switch from Accounting at Eller to Engineering!!! Dude this is awesome were should someone start who wants to do something like this?

  • Wowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowow Good Video

    But First I NEed a PS3 xD

  • can make it wireless ?

  • i just want to say,you are ready to fly dude ;)

  • tell me that with x it jumps!!

  • Awesome!!!

What did you study ? ...

    Mechanical Engineering ?

    Robotics ?

  • Thanks! I am a senior in electrical engineering, I graduate in May.

  • I seen you on my newspaper on the UofA..Congrats :)

  • @blegas78 ameen!!!!!bro love from pak!!!!

  • @blegas78 that's awesome :D how much did the whole thing cost? (without the ps3 controller)

  • @blegas78 if you don't mind. How hard was it?I like everything about electronics but I'm not strong in math and can't decide.

  • The music fits perfectly to the video :)

  • That thing is beast! Awesome creation!

  • That's fantastic! Looks scary to me, I hate spiders and this robot would be a real nightmare if it moved a little bit quicker. Anyway, you've done a great job, hope to see some upgrades or maybe a new type in the future.

  • Looks awesome! Its a little wobbly though. I'm sure you've probably though of this, but adding a threshold value might solve that. All accelerometer input below the threshold is ignored, and only input above the threshold is acted upon.

Can't wait to see more videos!

  • It is mostly wobbly due to the tibias being really flexible. In the next version I have upgraded the femurs and tibias, and so far it is performing much better.

Hopefully I'll get a vid of it up soon.

  • take a look here for a quick video of the new legs:

    twitvid(dot)com/96150

  • Wow, exelent job... I'm curious, how long did it take you to do this? Not to mention.. did you do everything yourself or have someone help you? The programming would be intense...

  • I started in February this year, but I had different goals in mind at that time which were unrelated to what you see. Overall, I would say that it took four months total to build from scratch.

I did all the work myself, from the mechanical design to the electronics to the software. I am still working on it to improve control and to make it more intelligent (adding vision).

Anyone can do it, as long as they have determination! :)

  • Hmm, you have more patience then I do when it comes to stuff like that. You must be in college or something because there's no way you can learn that on your own. :P

  • Wow, surprisingly short time span in which you build this robot, I might take a shot at it someday too.

  • Amazing work man! 5 stars

  • I'd love to have a hexapod if it's controlled like that. Really good idea there!

  • any chance you would be interested in selling some of these? I work at Intel in the embedded division and we make the processor/chipset in the fit-pc2, and this is a great embedded demo..

    dm me on twitter @intel_stewart

  • and she didnt kill herself this time... great work once again.

  • O_O Very nice...

  • wow
