This movie was filmed on my street in Winnipeg in fact the house at 1:00 is just a couple doors down from where I live and the boarder building at 0:56 is actully the entrance to Bird Hill Provincial park. The magic of movie! :)

Well for one, Paquin is from Winnipeg (as am I) so that may have had something to do with it. Also, why does Toronto, Vancouver, or Montreal always have to get all the attention? They don't get enough attention already?! Look how many films are made in Toronto or Vancouver. Give some other cities in Canada a chance for a change, in this case - Winnipeg! Americans don't even know that there are other cities in Canada besides Vancouver, Montreal, or Toronto.

this movie is borderline propagandist. first thing, you dont just "move to a country" coz there is an immigration procedure involved. and there are types of visas for which you can or cannot apply for. and all of this takes atleast a couple of yrs. so, people who were serious on moving to canada must have gone through all of that. and please... i would love to see obama win, but im REALLY worried that most of the morons in this country will give into stupid emotionalism and vote maverick/milf

There is a conservative government in Canada right now, and we are having an election in mid October where there is a good chance that the conservatives will remain in power and possibly get stronger.
