For the record... I just called the Coates/Davenport law firm. I was told that the firm no longer represented the Sussix HOA! Keep up the pressure Patriots.
Just to be clear, they didn't say he couldn't have a flag, they said he could not have a flag pole. It's a sticky issue, he's right and they are right. If you live in an HOA they can pretty much do what they please. I don't agree with it but they do have a right to restrict what you put in your yard. But this isn't about a flag, only how it's displayed. I think they should allow it until his death and then move the flag to a house pole.
The American Legion which is 2.3 MILLION strong is now backing the Colonel. Not just with words, but with the cash to assist in helping defray the cost of his pro-bono attorney. The lawyer representing the Colonel will still have to pay the costs of court costs, fees. etc.
The American Legion has substantial resources. The Governor of VA has joined with both of their U. S. Senators in adding his support.
The HOA is a ship without a lifeboat now. LOL. They are REPREHENSIBLE people!!
I would say take me to court. Find me a jury of my peers. Yes peers. Fellow CMH recipients. Fellow Veterans. Fellow AMERICAN's . Not a bunch of American'ts...
