I don't see why ABC 28 gets such a bad rap. I guess the fast pace is too much for the old people and windowlickers and methheads that make up the vast majority of Tampa Bay. Channel 8 and 10 are BORING
I have to agree with all of you. That has to be to dumbest branding I have seen almost as bad as WTKR's YOUR NewsChannel 3 but not quite. My real question is how many pounds of make-up is Wendy Ryan wearing on her face. Plus Brendan is old and busted and the ratings with him have always been shit--he should be sent to the weekend news or let go. And yes, the first names in the talent return is very awkward indeed. 28 News or even 28 Tampa Bay News was a much better branding.
"Your Taking Action for You station"...that's the most retarded branding I've ever heard. The graphics and brand were much better as 28 News, they need to go back. If they were trying to look like a network newscast with this, they miserably failed.
I hate it. For a while, they'd end a promo with "Tonight, on your ABC Action News Station." That was silly, but tolerable. Your Taking Action For You Station? No, not proper English and not easy on the ears. Scripps, WTF? I sorely miss the 28 News era.
