  • that looks like the start of a great layout. hope to see more later.

  • I wish my set was that big!

  • our british hsts are much better then the xpts... loll hundred times better :)

  • The xpt train was first built in Sydney in in 1982 , its design was taken from the English 125 intercity, but modified for the the Australian railway conditions. The Model is a painted over 125.

  • So was the countrylink version sold later?

  • that's a British Intercity 125 painted in Countrylink livery...

  • that's great seeing a working model of the Country Link XPT, with the blue livery. I have a similar Model but it's much older with the original red, black, orange and chrome livery. A year after the actual xpt train started rolling.

  • Thanks for the comment, allthow my dad has now moved house so dont know if he has put the layout backup. would like to see him start from scratch and make the layout larger. so no new vids for quite some time now.

  • @andrewpaglia - Auscision Models has just announced they're doing a scale-correct XPT in all the liveries it wore. Downside is it's going to cost over $800 per set (2 power units + 5 coaches).
