I take objection to the statement made that wolves hate humans. Wolves like any wild animal have certain traditions - ways that they follow & as long as man respects these they will respect man as proven by a number of people who have been able to cross the gap between wolf & man. To continue to think of wolves as only an enemy is ignorant in the light of new data which shows this is not true. However interaction must be on their rules, not ours if we hope to have any type of relationship. MGM.

People, even women are having lots and lots of children, so, that causes more houses, buildings, and roads. That goes on animals territory and home. Killing them. They have a right to live also. Just like we do. We need food source and water, they need food source and water. So people really need to start showing nature some respect. Like many people say, "God created this planet"

Besides Hal, there are other ways to keep wolves off your property besides poison and shooting. Why, recently I uncovered a research project which employs the using of long-distance speaker phones/bull horns. The speakers emit certain howls known to be used in the marking of territory and to ward off enemy packs. Any pack nearby hears these calls (which need only be sounded so often) and go elsewhere to avoid conflict. This has been proven to effectively keep Canis Lupus off ranchers' land.

I support the management of wolves, just like cougars and bears. They've done so well since 1995 that the government needs to kill a certain number to keep the population down. This is the reason for the delistment, and is done with other predators too.

What I do not support is the arbitrary killing of any species (predator or no) because of uninformed reasons (as you so frequently spew out here).

It is people like you who make smoothe transitions impossible. But they've returned anyways.

I say give it a rest because your mission has already failed. Wolves have been reintroduced and revailed in Yellowstone and elsewhere. The delisting is a sign they are no longer needing human protection, and so will be managed (by government officials only) accordingly.

You will never legally get to shoot a wolf, nor will you see the end of them as a species. Your vigour could be so much more useful elsewhere. This is not the 1930s anymore, so get used to it.

I understand the profit in the ranching industry has a slim margin. I'm not some uninformed PETA freak.

If there is no season, then the Park Service will dispatch certified rangers who will be authorised to keep the population down.

The only mess I can forsee (if your attitude is so widely shared) is what to do with all the confiscated ranch land when it is taken by the police because the ranchers refused to follow the laws of the state.

Maybe give it to the wolves for hunting territory!

You speak as though you are in charge of much more than you are. Where do you get your information? On what grounds? These animals are protected by law.

Lastly- this is no experiment. They were reintroduced after decades of life in exile, which only happened because ignorant, wasteful hunters refused to open thier eyes and thought "Little Red Riding Hood" was a true story.

btw- Neither of us are going to win this. But I'm enjoying trading blows for the sake of strengthening argument.
