  • Omg, the boy in 5:17 has the very same fighting stance that we use in Aikido with a Bo kin (a wooden training Samurai sword).

  • Ancient egypt used to have two own martial arts and tahtib used to be one of them but back then it was more of a fighting style then it became a folk dance that might explain it. the other martial art was called Sebakkha and it the body was used as self defence without sticks or weapons
