I have a question and I really hope somebody can help me, my Wii always showed all green blocks when I back the NAND up, but last night after I installed some Cios, I get 1 bad block that says "ecc failure (corrected)" now it's probably nothing to worry about but I can't help but worry if my Wii is starting to brake!

@juiceala Don't worry, I have tons of bad blocks, and I'm pretty sure that (corrected) means that it got fixed.

@saulw103 thanks for the reply man, actually the bad block was solved about a week ago by itself, I'm not sure what fixed it but I installed a couple of new Wiiware games and I guess one of them fixed the bad block so now it's all green again :)

I'm so confused. @.@ can someone PLEASE tell me what the hell am I doing wrong!!!??? I've spent up to 6 hours trying to find why my Bootmii is different from what I see in EVERY video.It says cBoot2 DOL loader v16. And it makes my Bootmii completely different,HELP I really want to make a NAND backup,this is confusing.

The wiimote doesn't work in bootmii but the start button can be used to scroll and the reset button can be used to select.

i hope this works cuz i just did a nand backup and then i installed a theme. ever since i got the theme it freezes evertime i click on a channel. i will try the restore

If i backed up my nand but my Wii cant instal bootmii as boot2, the nand back up is useless? or what can i do if in future my Wii get bricked and i installed bootmii as an IOS, backed up my Nand and installed Priiloader? @robinsingh66 other dumps doesnt work on ur wii. but u can try savemiifrii (search youtube for it)

I tried this but The message said "WTF" Wrote 0 Bytes. I checked the sd card and found NAND.BIN with 0 space used on my sd card. What could that mean?

hey, i got a problem, I did this, the back-up, but whenever i start my wii with the sd card inside, the wii looks bricked (starts with black screen and never lets me get into the menu), BUT when i turn on the wii without the sd card inside, it runs just fine. So my question is this, what do I do for that when i turn on the wii, the menu with the Wii/Homebrew Channel/Sd/ etc gets available?

Yeah, all your saved games and installed channels and virtual games will be there.. EVERYTHING.

Note: I have never had to restore a nand but know people that have done it with no problems.

I dont know what you mean by fixing it.

If your wii bricks, you put the sd card into the wii with the nand you backed up on it, and choose restore or something like that. Then the wii will return to the state you backed it up at.

yes, make sure it puts it there.. I had to try a few sd cards to find one compatable. Sandisk was the one that worked.

By compatable, I mean I would backup my nand then check the sd card and couldnt find it on there, even though when I looked at properties of sd card, the space was used up.

With the sandisk, the nand showed up fine.

@Tim000guitar it is not possible because each wii has it´s own "console key" it´s kinda password and you can only install a backup of your own nand

For bootmii v3 you use the "power" and "reset buttons" Very weird.

You can use the power and reset buttons on the console. That is how I controlled mine.

You can use just one SD card for everything.

yeah its normal.. you will have some bad blocks.. havent heard of a wii without any yet... 2 is REALLY good. some people have 60,, thats a sign of problems though

You may have to retry it again. Sometimes I get a Error or Freeze I just try it again. I don't know much I just know how to follow directions.

yes, that happened to me a few times too.. then i got a wii sandisk card 2g and it worked.. Its really picky about the card so try another

this was very quick but you need 540Megs free on your sd. make it 550 to be safe.

This did not work,, it is not supposed to go so quickly.

After it was done I checked the SD card and nand.bin didnt show up. I looked at SD properties and 540megs were used up but no file showed up.

After this I tried a different SD card and it worked.

A real nand backup takes about 10-20 minutes.

Really? Mine didn't take that long. Guess that means it didn't work for me either, even though you say you didn't get a nand.bin file, but I did (528 megs)
