I read Elissa's book. I feel terrible for what happened to her. I'm a Mormon apostate, and I now feel fortunate that I was raised LDS and not FLDS. What a horrible cult. The mainstream Mormons are pretty crazy, but they are SOOOO mild compared with the strict FLDS. At least no one is forced to marry at age 14. Ugh, fuck religion.

I just read her book. It's so amazing and inspiring. Shes a strong young woman to of done what she did and to continue to speak out. I'm currently reading the book and nearing the end. Elissa Wall is such an inspiration to me! Her strength and courage make me want to face difficult situations head-on in my own life as well. But for sure, I've never gone through anything as difficult as what she went through with FLDS.

I've read the entire book "Stolen Innocence" and Elissa's courage amazes me! She was very brave to continually fight against Allen and Warren. And to leave behind everything she knew. Just finished her book - It was horrifying. The thought of a 14-year-old girl going through all she went through was just shocking. I'm glad she came forward to putt Jeffs away, and glad she continues to fight for other young girls so they don't go through the same thing.

I just finished reading the book. It is amazing what strength this young woman had to be able to turn her back on the only life she knew.
She is indeed very brave, and I think she will be a huge inspiration for a lot of people!

I'm currently reading the book and nearing the end. Elissa Wall is such an inspiration to me! Her strength and courage make me want to face difficult situations head-on in my own life as well. But for sure, I've never gone through anything as difficult as what she went through with FLDS.

I've read the entire book "Stolen Innocence" and Elissa's courage amazes me! She was very brave to continually fight against Allen and Warren. And to leave behind everything she knew. Warren deserves a life sentence. He even confessed that he wasn't the prophet, but they wouldn't allow the tape to be played in court.

I also read the book and Just now finished it. I feel very bad for Elissa, she went through a very hard difficult childhood(as she discribes it)
I am not a member of the FDLS but I think it is just horrible to put down the religion because of a FEW bad people in the Church. We CANNOT accuse the whole church for those "bad apples" Not everyone in the church is bad. You don't have to agree with their beliefs but This is America and it is their RIGHT to practice their religion.

Just finished her book - It was horrifying. The thought of a 14-year-old girl going through all she went through was just shocking. I'm glad she came forward to putt Jeffs away, and glad she continues to fight for other young girls so they don't go through the same thing.

Leviticus 18:6 says "None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him to uncover their nakedness". It is also illegal, and Paul said "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. i have read carolyn jessops story so i will definately get this book about this brave lady as well. I admire their bravery and cannot believe that this can happen in usa. I read her book, its sad but very good. The thing I don't really understand is- she's suing Allen for raping her during their marriage. If you read this I am so sorry this happened to you. I live across the street from this huge water tower and last night I woke up to very terrifying screams. I called the cops, they arrived quick as hell. I didnt see anyone cause it was dark then all of the sudden the cops pick this girl up off the ground and she had no pants on.
