Nick is becoming the "Human Highlight Reel" of MMA, really. But, that name was also given to Arturo Gatti, who was always willing to go toe-to-toe and also CHOSE to adopt a "take one to get one" attitude, which is not a smart approach. Nick was in HUGE trouble and would have been finished if he was facing an actual top-tier fighter, not Denny, who has lost 16 fights.
Nick Diaz can't be too proud of beating this guy, whose record shows he's not exactly top- tier. If Nick was everything he claims to be, he wouldn't be fighting guys like Denny at this point in his career.
Denny gave Diaz trouble and, if Denny had actually been a heavy handed guy like Noons, it would have been all over in Rd 1. Nick has been in too many toe-to-toe slug fests and he seems to be fighting with less smarts and more brawn with each fight. Nick has heavy hands, great ground skills and a very decent chin, but it doesn't mean much if he continues to CHOOSE to fight wildly and is willing to "take one to get one", when facing top tier guys with equal or better skills.
