You need to do your homework and read up on how to properly mount the optic to the rail on the receiver. If it’s loose and sloppy you are not mounting it correctly. The castle nut on the tension screw needs to be adjusted. If you are having trouble seeing the target at 100yd through a 4x optic and the holes are all over it sounds to me like you are the problem. Read replies before making your comments.

@lorddinaire - Do a google search for the cleaning kit, try ebay or TGI as well. The front sight is drifted to the right, this is to line up the sights (normal). The only way you will know if a bayo can be fixed it to try it. Some have had the ears of the lug trimmed and they will not function correctly.

@lorddinaire You don't need a cleaning kit... its an AK, just knot up a shoestring or wad up some paper towel and soak it in brake cleaner and ram it down the barrel. Or if you want to do it quicker just spray the barrel with carb and choke cleaner

I agree with jjw5150, when it warms up accuracy diminishes but you still usually hit what your pointing at. For any potential consumer, PLEASE don't call these Dragunov or believe marketing on these. This rifle is a RPK modified for 7.62x54. Not a "dragunov variation". It is an AKM / Rpk variant.

That doesn't mean anything. My PSL came with a threaded barrel under the spot weld. It sports a Bulgarian supressor now. Some are only welded on though.
If you look at tthe 12 o-clock position just above the flash hider you'll see a light dot. That looks to me to be a spring loaded pin designed to hold the brake on. Cut the spot weld off the bottom, push the pin in, spin the thing off to reveal the threaded barrel underneath. Some do not have this feature and are more solidly welded on.
A very few PSLs came with threaded barrels. Most come with the presses and pinned on flash suppressor / brake. I have yet to see one with a welded brake.
Ze dude says that if you fix the belt strap, of the rifle by your shoulder holding it tight with your elbow, the weapon will be way better fixed on the shoulder.
@shockolanu I have seen many photos of the rifle being carried like this. Sling tight against the shooting shoulder, not steadied by the opposite elbow. Seem to make for faster shots IMHO. This is how I carry the PSL when I hunt "just for the feel." Seems to make sense.
Get about 15, 20 feet away from the shooter and it's not bad. Up close it's terrible, though.
Trying it out for the first time once I figured out where it was shooting with the stock 4-power scope I was able to knock off the top of a coke bottle off at 60 yards.
I bought one a few years ago from Inter-Ordnance when they still came with an 8 power. I hate the scope. I am replacing it with a new weaver rail and a new scope.
Have you tried it without the optics? The iron sites accuracy is awesome. It has to be one of the nicest rifles Ive ever bought. The 5 round mag turns it into a great hunting rifle too. I dropped a nice mule deer from 250 yards while on the move. You cant beat that rifle.
Due to the facts that it's shooting 308 match. If you know about the 308NDM86, that is where the fair comparison should be drawn at. All I can say is sub moa laps around the SSG97 308, and have made many M1A and AR10 put to shame. Or even the rusky tiger in 308 in the russian mainland.

I have one now. It is accurate for a few shots. When the barrel gets hot it spreads out pretty wide. For me anyway and thats with Czech silver tip.
