Certain paints adhere better, clear coating over designs helps too, not sure if airbrushing or polyester would be more durable

To tell you the truth I don't wear these shirts often enough but they have held up well so far on cotton

The idea would be to cut out the picture too- after you apply the tape. It is by no means limited to paper and scotch tape - any material can work
