i can't tell the difference between him and his artwork...verbose, bloated, pretentious.
every answer to every question...he goes on for so long that he forgets the questions!
but WOW! what a movie. a true masterpiece....can't believe it's the same guy.

That is one of my Fave Books. As for JS...I recall a project of his in which there were wastebaskets placed all over san antonio...was in a crowded gallery with him in nyc once. must see the movie.

No one will believe me, but I know who Julian Schnabel is, and I actually thought it said "Julian Schnabel: Working with the cast of "Saved by the Bell".
It took about a minute before I realized he wasn't going to mention Slater, Screech, Zack, and Kelly, etc.

I lost respect for Schnabel after 'Basquiat' - His early 'art' work was just a gimmick anyway, and I suppose fucking Mary Boone helped kick start things as well....

We are lucky to have Artists like Julian working in any media today, He has so much to show us, and we are only getting glimpses
of his vision, ... I personally wish I could see more paintings, multi media, and films, He is right between the "Old School" Hoffman, Rothko, etc.. and todays best thinkers, I would work with him in a second.
