  • Green Goddess looks just like Flying Scotsman. And RH&DR is like a miniature version of LNER. And it's cool how RH&DR actually made their own locomotive designs like how they made Captain Howey. That one actually looks like an American locomotive.

  • do you know why Green Goddess and Captain Howey were double heading in the first shot?

    Great vid :D

  • great vid as always Craig how long has she been back in service 5*

  • Cheers mate. Green Goddess returned to use on 13th of June this year, after spending over 4 years out of service. It should be in use on Oct 3rd/4th during the RH&DR's Steam & Diesel Gala, along with all available locos (I believe 10 locos altogether).

  • thanks for the info. i will have to see if i can go to that sounds like a great weekend (wow).

  • It should be great, an intensive service, eight steam and two diesels in action, non stop trains and multiple headed trains!

  • do you know when they do the side by side race from Hythe to New Romney

  • I don't know whether they will be doing that. Would be nice if they did.

  • i have bben meaning to go down there when they do that, but i dont know when they do it

  • Got some good news for you. According to The Rommey Blog, a parallel run will take place from New Romney at 10:00, on the Sunday. On the Saturday, the 18:00 from Dungeness will have five locos on the front!

  • Very nice video thank you for posting
