@redifreddi14 the thing is, carrier battle groups find subs best using active sonar, which is difficult in shallow water because the subs can blend in with the ocean bottom and the sonar wave reverberates back off the sea bottom causing the sonar system to screw over. Basically in shallow water, sub detection is futile. Most likely what happened with that chinese sub.
