  • Great times. I also loved the Ayinger beer bistro right in the center near the dragon on the corner.

  • Love Germeny, greetings from Dallas,TX

  • Does no one know how to hold the mug?

  • That's a hefeweizen glass shown when saying it's a radler. Though hefe can be mixed with sprite/lemonade for a radler, typically it's a pils. I don't think they'd serve a radler in the glass though - Germans are particular about which glass is used for each kind of beer.

  • soo... 42 likes and 0 dislikes??? This tells me that Germany is doing something right!

  • AGUSTINA IS MY FAVORITED.

  • i was there in 2001. great festival. beautiful people. love munchen.

  • I am from Germany (Ulm). Yesterday i was the first time at the Hofbräuhaus! It was sooooo fantastic!!!

  • how much do those steins cost

  • @cowaseatgrass01

    8 - 10 €

  • Hobrauhaus - the best place to visit in Munich. The atmosphere is simply great. I was there in February 2010 and immediately stroke up an acquaintance with a firefighter from Texas, two Canadians, one Brazilian, and a bunch of Irishmen. It must have had something to do with the local beer... ;)

  • @norskey86 I had a similar experience last time I visited in 1990 (I think everybody does). My buddy and I ended up partying with five guys in a German Army tank crew, and two Romanian girls- you'd have thought we were life-long friends! I propose that they replace the UN with the Hofbrauhaus- at least the HB knows how to bring people together, whereas the UN is very good at buggering things up and wasting taxpayer money...

  • @Marunchak I know what you mean. I was recently in Munich and my friend and I met some people on a beer tour. First viktuallenmarkt beer garden then Hofbrauhaus and it was like we were all best friends and had known each other forever. Loved it, Hofbrauhaus my fave place in the world.

  • @norskey86 and drunk Russian!!!!! hello from Moscow!!!

  • I remember going to Kiliani festival in Wurzburg, my uncles would get so lit off drinking those huge beers in the glass boot it was hilarious... I miss those times...

  • Dortmund definitely is Germany's beer capital!!!

  • @Prime133suppe

    never

which beer is the most famous beer in dortmund?

    youre from dortmund?

  • @Prime133suppe dortmund und bier,haha...

das ist als wenn man in berlin weißwürste anpreist.

    das passt absolut nicht zusammen........

  • "Cheap food" una cippa

  • I've gone to the one in Newport, KY...I must now go to the one in Munich.

  • @theshirtninja

you have to come to the wiesn (octoberfest)

its very beautiful but very expensive

you have to pay for one maß (1 litre of beer) ca. 9,00€ but its the best beer in the world

  • I miss this place...

  • What a great time and mmm mmmm mmmmm the beer!

  • I really love the Hofbrauhaus and all of the bier gartens I visited in Munich!!! The Hofbrauhaus may be a little touristy, but there is a reason so many people go there-it's just a really great place.

  • i went there we have one of those in pittsburgh at the south side its ok you can stand on your chair if you live in pittsburgh chek it out! but on satrdays its busy

  • I have been to the hofbrauhaus in Las Vegas and it looks like the one in Munich.

  • i went there several times, the highlight for me was when the band played "country roads" Gemütlichkeit.

  • When I went to the Hofbräuhaus, my party was separated and I had to sit at a table with other germans. It was so fun, and a lot less touristic.

  • Looks like so much fun! I don't drink beer, but would still like to be there *sigh*.
