  • I'm a huge Rock addict, but got to admit this music is so pure. Just magnificent

  • I wish those who complained about acting being over done would remember that this is live from the stage and the actors are acting to a large room, not just the people on the screen. You have to be bigger than life to fill a huge hall.

  • @spizzell1 yes, and that there is a stage director involved also

  • bravo luciano!!!!

  • pavarotti in topshape

  • pavarotti pur sang, very very touchy

  • Who conducts here ?

  • James Conlon

  • I'd love to sing as good as he does... o dear. Years may show :)

  • This performance of luciano pavarotti is so beautiful so touching, the feelings and the emotions that he radiate with his beautiful and amazing voice is very painful for me. i just want to hug him and to cry because of him.

  • I've always loved the passage from 3:47 onward; awfully depressing story though :-/

  • Beautiful rendition. Singing superb, I don't care for Verrett's acting too much, a bit overdone and affected IMO, but just me.

  • Verrett is absolutely divine here, paired with Pavarotti in his prime. Beautiful rendering.

  • I have tried to find this on dvd but it doesn't appear to be out there , or at least not yet. Was it only made for US television? Has anyone heard rumours of its being in the pipeline?

  • Pavarotti and Verrett, seperately wonderful of course. Together? Magic.... who knew? Could you ask for a fuller, more musical Tosca? Maybe in the 70's, but not today... Who sings Tosca like this anymore? Really?

  • and they say he can't act. What do they want?

Looks pretty good to me and the singing is out of this world. So beautiful

  • have no words....

  • THIS IS AMAZING

  • So what happens at the end?? Keeping us in suspense??

  • He's shot for real, the note did not say not to kill him. She tells him to stand up and go with her but he's dead. Then Tosca, who killed Scarpia, hears the gard coming for her. She jumps off the tour and dies.

  • Please can you tell me if this avaiable in dvd or vhs and where can I order from.I love and love HIM..mlr548

  • Bravo Pavarotti e pure tu, Verrett!

  • So tender!

  • Grazie Luciano!

  • rest in peace... o dolci mani
