African Americans, for a multitude of reasons, many not their own doing, have yet to amount any substantial wealth. After america turned towards the service industry many black and white people fell into poverty in detroit but many white people left because there were no jobs left. However many black people never left because they relied on the little training for manfacturing jobs so they fell into poverty and are now stuck in detroit

ALL of Detroit was a beautiful thriving city until the blacks demanded equality in the 60's, which was fine, but in detroit instead of coexisting they rioted and ran the whites out who were responsible for the business and strong economics of the city, they sat back, formed gangs, sold drugs and 80% of the city fell apart.

@scatterac That is one way to look at it, but once civil right was granted the majority of the countries minorities chose to unite with whites for the greater good. Illinois is a good example. They made an effort to work together, in Detroit they didn't riot FOR civil rights, they rioted AFTER civil rights were granted telling whites to get out. They didn't take advantage of equality that was granted like many did. Detroit extended a hand and we bit it HARD.

And what this person is not telling you this only a fraction of the city that they are showing, And by the way a ghetto is a community of ppl living together in poor conditions. you are right... this is only a FRACTION of the city... the rest looks like this too. detroit is the opposite of most cities... most cities are generally nice throughout, or at least decent, and have a few bad areas. detroit, however, is almost all destroyed like you see in my videos. there are only small pockets of nice neighborhoods in detroit. i don't need to live there to be able to show people how bad it is. would you want to live there?

I never said that there weren't nice areas in Detroit, I'm just saying that what you see in my videos can be seen on like 70% of the city blocks in Detroit. It's not like there's just ONE bad area of Detroit and I went to that ONE neighborhood and was able to make 4 10 minute videos.

After america turned towards the service industry many black and white people fell into poverty in detroit but many white people left because there were no jobs left. However many black people never left because they relied on the little training for manfacturing jobs so they fell into poverty and are now stuck in detroit

They made an effort to work together, in Detroit they didn't riot FOR civil rights, they rioted AFTER civil rights were granted telling whites to get out. They didn't take advantage of equality that was granted like many did. Detroit extended a hand and we bit it HARD.

Great video, I set a movie to the same Metallica tune and of course it's perfect for a Detroit ghetto tour. I used to live in a suburb of Detroit and that was bad enough. Glad I'm outa' there! I worked in the automotive film business back there for 10 years before I decided to get out. To live is truly to die, cities are cyclical as everyone and everything is. CONTINUED....I live in a decent suburb now and the black people there are very respectable and good neighbors. There is one suburb that is mostly black north of where I live and it is fairly nice and has a low crime rate. Why? No seedy inner city slums and hard working people live there. However if the inner city works it's way in there it will get bad fast. It's partially about race but mostly the LOCATION of that race. Are blacks oppressed? Yes, by themselves. Hip Hop culture needs to die.

You guys don't get it. It's not black people by themselves it's inner city black culture and hip-hop culture, which PROMOTES laziness, racism towards whites, organized crime, and violent music. You have to follow these things to get respect in a black ghetto. Youths rely on gangs because they have no family structure and they do it to "prove themselves". Then you add welfare dependency and the result is this. I used to work in a similar area but now I live in a suburb.

Since that is what happened Black people had the belief that all white people were the enemy and taught that to their children and then their children are taught the same stuff.
