i disagree with some of what you said. knick's backcourt isn't suitable for a set offense. they have too many players who run and hug the ball. . . . so a running game is much more suitable for them, though their frontcourt leaves much to be desired.

the knicks will be getting players to play defense. im sure donnie walsh knows they need defense. the man had a large degree of success in indiana, im sure he knows what he's doin. they have the 6th overall pick (what pick was Larry Bird taken?) we may even get Artest, and in 2010 we may get lebron or wade. we'll see how things pan out

i wouldn't mind crawford at the 1 but he would have to pass a little more for it to work. q-rich at the 2 isn't bad b/c he can shoot on the perimeter. somehow i don't think randolph would fit in d'antoni's run and gun style but we'll have to see. the roster needs to be revamped for it to work, some guys fit in the style of run and gun, some don't.

what u fail to realize is that NY fans don't have TIME! these fans expect this team to win NOW! not later on when they feel like it. KNICKS fans spend too much damn money to go to games to watch them lose. this is a tough city to play in and when u suck, u get booed, no simpler than that...the media is goin to rip d'antoni to shreds and if that roster remains the same way it is now, i GUARANTEE u, that team won't make the playoffs and u'll come back and say damn ur right.

steve nash did make d'antoni's system work for sure, it all starts with a point guard who passes well and makes precise decisions, a TEAM PLAYER rather than do it on my own which is MARBURY, CRAWFORD and ROBINSON, all ONE ON ONE dribbling, score first PGs. The knicks may HAVE a plan but it doesn't necessarily mean its going to work. One franchise player doesn't make a team, Bosh-gone fishin', D-Wade-surgery ending season, James-on the brink of elimination. One star doesn't make a team, i'm done.

ok when it all gets down to it, d'antoni said that he chose the knicks because he asked his wife where they would want to live and they said New York over Chicago, what a nice way to pick where you want to work. It should be how your coaching style would work with certain players. There are about 3-4 players on that knicks team that can run d'antoni's system which is a disgrace.

This was a good video man. I agree its not going to work. Knicks should have gone with avery johnson. they needed a defensive minded coach. second, knicks have players who dont fit dantoni style. randolph plays mad lazy and eddy curry with his fat ass. Third. nash i think made dantoni successful. without nash dantoni is a lame ass coach. another don nelson who doesnt realize that DEFENSE wins championships. Walsh should have stuck with law cuz he hasnt impressed me with this acquisition.

i'm glad u agree with me man. its nice to see run and gun play but d'antoni hasn't been to the nba finals, avery johnson has as a player and as a coach. the roster has to be changed up big time for it to work somehow and as u said DEFENSE does win championships, no gettin around it. Walsh just wants fans in the seats and to build an excting style of basketball. but its only a matter of time b4 loyal knick fans like u grow disgruntled.

Well... no. But the pure amount on talent certainly isn't a 23 win team. If the Knicks get lucky in the draft and get Rose or a nice pg that can run like D'Antoni wants, they can set up a nice core of players, and hopefully it's nice enough to attract LeBron come 2010.
