The beauty of his playing is not only is he fast and technical, but his playing has soul and feel to it, way more so than the playing of numerous shred gods (i.e. Zakk Wilde, Satch, Vai). Don't get me wrong, I still greatly respect the latter mentioned guitarists, but Andy James takes it to a completely different level.

I just find Andy James' shredding to be less show-offish and more musical/soulful than Steve Vai's. Personal preferance and all, which is based on opinion, not fact.
