I just listened to Carey Underwood sing this song. I was expecting to be blown away by it. Because she's one of my favorite singers. Maybe I'm just being more partial to you Sabrina, but I really like the pacing better on your version. Your voice on this song just has much more character and warmth too. No one can argue that you are fast creating your own unique style and the mood you create fits this song better. You also seem more emotionally into it than Carrie on her Live performance! ^_^
One other thing, there is something so unique about your voice ... yet, it reminds me of something I heard long ago. I can't quite remember what or who but maybe I'll finally remember someday. Do you hear what I hear? Oh, yes, I hear the sounds and busy-ness of the season but in this song I hear nothing but serenity and peace and purity. The silky smooth soothing delivery of the song by an innocent young child, apparently ill and tired, amplifies the message of peace. An incomprehensible and gracious peace brought by the divine Child. To have performed so well under these conditions is the indisputable sign of a true and consummate professional.

@ExcelLied Why not ? Is he an apprentice opera singer ? At least, he wouldn't have any trouble with the Italian lingo ! IoI I must hear him first. After a few month break, my student from Houston will be back at work with me in January so I am pretty full up and I'll never teach in a production line like most coaches. I handpick my proteges. Quality rather than quantity ! :) Not mentioning I'm doing some researches on the vocal pedagogy of the so called Bel Canto school of the XVIIth-XVIIIth

@ExcelLied I just wanted to clarify your post for others here (& also say you have an excellent voice too). So they know you're not talking about Sabrina's voice. Which indeed is very powerful, emotive & unlike this girl you may be speaking of, emits her voice w/ proper technique & exquisite intonation no matter the genre. Sabrina even though she's headed for Pop, R&B Jazz & Rock mix, could easily do Opera (w/ her acting talent) or Classical Crossover style songs w/ ease! Happy Xmas! :D

If she can sing like this sick, think of the affects when she sings w/ 200 Million listeners the Worldwide of that Music Festival in Shangsha China, Jan. 2nd!

@ExcelLied haha... don't be so sure about that. ;) Sabrina is a lot like Santa Claus on YouTube, seems to be every place at once. lol.. She was great at the AVA Radio Interview and she only showed her human side (lost her train of thought once), when I asked her a question. But I was just testing her seemingly impossible ability to think, comment and be every place at once. She doesn't have it quite perfected yet... like Santa, but she's getting close! ^_*

"chesty" as we call it over here, your breathing's not 100% - within a few seconds though I became absorbed in your flawless rendition.
