I have used Nikwax for years and found it to be the best aftercare product bar non on all clothing and boots. I did my own comparison tests on Goretex and it performed much better than Fluorocarbon based products, especially in terms of longevity of effect. The Nikwax leather cream is a great product- to suggest it unglued footwear is plain silly in view of the fact it contains no solvents, unless the footwear was made from cardboard, paper and EVA glue! :D
