Hi there,

Bach.....and this piece...gives me some hope that we as human beings might be able to transcend our petty quarrels and live as we might and should be. The subtle sophistication and passion in this brings tears to my eyes. I also recommend Bach's Chaconne....just jaw-dropping in its poignentcy.

you are not kidding bachfugue. bach is simply the best. and stokowski seems to have an insight on his music. even if the musical 'correctness' folk attack him constantly as far as bach is concerned.

This is the "Little Fugue" arranged for strings only! That's the second arrangement of Stokowski for this work. The first one was for an enormous, gargantuan orchestra (woodwinds - brass -strings - timpani)

Great version of this fugue! Bach is the greatest composer ever and Stokowski is my favorite conductor. Well done Leopold!
