I have a 60s era (I think) rogers kit. The snare is a dyna-sonic with a serial # sub 5000. I just drum as a hobby, but, I picked the set up off a guy I used to work with for 300 bucks. That's what he wanted for it. So I gave it to him. It's all my buddies fault for getting me on his drum kit. Being a mindful and aware person has it's advantages. :P
They just don't make drums like this anymore. Such a FAT mid-range, exactly what a microphone wants to hear. BTW, early beavertail lugs put that set around the mid to late 1960's.
I love the Rogers sets along with the Slingerland/Leedy's, Camco's and the Gretsch's. I think the COB Rogers snares (dynasconic and powertone) had the edge in big band situations in my opinion. This is interesting as the drums sound quite modern at times. Nice work.
Wow! I have almost the exact same set that was my Dad's when he was just a kid (early 60's). I cant believe I found someone that has an almost identical set!
The color is exactly the same, but it has a 2nd tom instead of two floor toms like this one. It's in perfect shape and I still play it to this day. You just can't beat the vintage sound!
Amazing to see they are still out there. I'd love to see more if you have it!
COB I had the Rogers Dynasonic COB and I wish to God I never sold my Rogers kits. The workmanship, the plating of the chrome, the newer memriloc hardware. You could toss the drum across the Asphalt and nary put a scratch on em.
For being 40+ years old, those drums sound very good. I'm surprised of the condition they're in, too. They must have been well cared for. How much would a vintage kit as this sell for today?

Rogers drums sound so good, I cant understand why more drummers dont use them. They are way, way underrated drums.
