Gosh I have been thinking about this anime a lot lately. I love the music and the style. This opening has been playing constantly in my mind. It gives me a sense of nostalgia because years ago, my first anime dvd was Orphen. I remember the beautiful character and design sketches on the extras as well. I watched it so much. :) One of my favorite characters is Hartia aka Shrimp Man. :) Huzzuh for sexy red heads.

As the story goes on you're shown bits and pieces more of what really happened until the end. And Orphen Revenge, the followup series, sucks. Orphen isn't near as cool or serious.

Why would it not be as good as "they" say it is? "They" are saying it's good and the sequel isn't, which it isn't, but it's almost like a different series from how they handle the story. "Sorcerer Stabber Orphen" is good. "Sorcerer Stabber Orphen Revenge" is not good.

Well, it's a medieval fantasy anime about Orphen, who is a sorcerer. He's on a quest to save Azalie. It's really good, but it's kind of obvious they ran out of ideas for a sequel. There's also an interesting PS2 game called Scion of Sorcery, involving a Time Egg.
