  • What a great video, thanks for the upload.

  • My husbands family was in California and we called to rush back to Lewisville, the hippies were going to invade the homes and the police dept had bought machine guns!!

  • I was there. It was a last-minute trip from central KS with a friend and his girlfriend and one I'll never forget.

  • At the beginning shots on I35, you can see the overpass at 35 & what would become Hebron

  • I think I've seen the Grand Funk clip on youtube saying it's from the Atlanta Intl Pop Festival.

  • Tony Joe white rules!!!

  • I remember seeing Grand Funk open the show everyday and thinking...these guys are pretty good...who are they!! sheesh...

  • i was there....love this...thanks for posting!

  • There were so many huge festivals in America at the time.Atlanta (Byron), Miami, San Jose etc...People always focus on Woodstock and the horrible Altamont because they are probably the best documented on film and professional audio. The Texas International Pop Festival is rarely mentioned, as far as I know.

  • Wavy Gravy at 27:00

  • That was Groovy!

  • Did they videotape all of the performers and all of the songs they played or just a few of them? I was wondering if there was more video footage of Zeppelin and everyone else available somewhere..

  • Thank you!

  • Grand Funk is cool. Can imagine how cool it was in 1969.

  • Thanks! I've been looking for this for forever! Who does the Lewisville song in the beginning?

  • @god0456 It sounds like James Taylor which I think makes it Sweetwater. I think that's the band he was in before he went solo.
