@mandor42 Interesting. I have been simply averaging them in simulation-driven GAs, as a novice. Is there a simple reason to do it this way? Keep up the good work, btw!
what would happen if you built a robot, but applied this to it, with an insane amount of memory and computer speed. no code in it that was predefined either, just let it do whatever it wanted
@jackhartcup I'm no expert, but I guess it will behave randomly, because genetic algorithims need a goal to select which individuals to use for the next generation.
What exactly is a "multi-objective genetic algorithm?" Is this a GA with several objective functions averaged together?

@sulljoh1 Objectives are not averaged; we use the Pareto dominance relation to search for the set of all Pareto-optimal trade-offs.

I have one question :
I don't know if it's possible to answer or if it was already answered but...
... between the 2 final strategies, wich one is the most effective in term of energy cost?

@jackhartcup theoreticaly it would learn to fly, but practicaly it would not survive constant crashing during training .. i guess :)

ok, lets say that it needs electricity and can 'feel' pain. what then?
jackhartcup 7 months ago
@jackhartcup It will have the goal of getting electricity and avoiding pain, and the evolution can begin!

Wow

Great work! Did you use ODE please? How was it renedered?
Thanks

Interesting, but it is still a flapping-wing animat.

Evolutionary computing is great! That was some nice flapping.

OMG this rocks!!! I want to learn to program self-organization via multiple generations! How did you do it? Keep up the good work!
