@ssoso76ro Venga! el lute fue un pobre diablo, un vulgar delicuente con el que se cebó la justicia. Carismático e inteligente sí, pero un delincuente nada más (por lo menos hasta su segunda fuga). Y de luchar contra el franquismo nada, ya que ni pudo hacerlo porque estaba encarcelado. Su lucha comenzó precisamente cuando acabó el franquismo.

La "leyenda" y la canción son muy bonitas, pero la historia ya es otro asunto.

It's a great song and is, of course, based on a true story. Eleuterio Sánchez Rodríguez escaped several times from jail after being convicted of a murder that he did not commit. Spain at the time was a dictatorship and he did not stand a chance. When he was caught in the end, Spain had just become a democracy. He learned to read and write in Prison and went on to gain a Law Degree. In 1981 he was released from prison and was pardoned. Boney M tell this story so well in this song.
