@marxskate123 I want to say flesh because she plays the Theorbo and Baroque Lute as well which are played without nails; she might keep a little bit of thumb nail. When I started playing baroque guitar I cut my nails off and much prefer it now. Look up Rob Mckillop on Youtube.
A baroque guitar is so much cooler than a classical acoustic guitar. I like playing classical music on my guitar but I wonder how well I could shred on a baroque guitar
What a heavenly beautiful sound, and style of playing!! She's superb!!
The guitar has 10 wooden pegs, can anyone tell me, is it 5 pairs of strings or 10 separate strings? Where can I buy such a guitar, and how much does it costs?
5 pairs, or 4 pairs and a single (the highest pitched string) A pair is called a course. I would like one too, but they are always hand made, so expensive - maybe a couple of thousand $US.
I agree.... exciting playing and wonderful sound!!!
Fantastic playing and spirit. Aside from her fine technique and style, what impresses me is the quiet modesty and focused joy of her playing. There is nothing that distracts from the music. For a few minutes, she becomes the music, which I suppose is all you can ask of any musician.
Nicely played Gitaarmeisje and Sorry i named ur nederlands for vlaams under the "inthreeductionfilm". This music and playing speaks a language beyond words anyways.
Canarios like those cute litle birds :-) ? it sounded "a bit happy".

Impressive start, with titles and some nice strumming, but the playing is very average, and she missed the tempo in at least two places in her rendition !
You want to listen to the same piece, same instrument, but by a serious maestro, check out Xavier Díaz-Latorre
I totally understand that. and I agree with you, for someone looking to hear great performances that amateur stuff can be quite of putting. what caught me was you calling people "talentless hacks ", they are all as beautiful people as you are. and you can easily just not watch there uplodes.
clancywiggam is absolutely right though. Particularly with guitar music, there's a huge problem of people thinking they can play but can't really, then putting it on youtube. But that's why we have star-ratings.
Sometimes I despair for Youtube, with all these talentless hacks posting themselves trying to learn something on their instrument, but then something like this comes along and you remember that although 99% of it might be shit, that 1% saves the lot.
you don't have to watch all those "talentless" guys, I dont. for some it's just fun and thay arn't into music like us. and I'm for anything healthy that makes people feel good.
I love to do disco dancing, which I am very bad at, but which is fun and makes me feel good. I don't post it on the internet for the world to see. Why would I? Nobody wants to see it and it does me no favours.
maybe your friends do. or you do it as fun because it's funny or intresting. or you actually think your dancing is good. this is a free video share site, there is nothing in the policy about "must be publicly enjoyable", as long as it's not offensive and the poster feels ok about it, I don't see why not.
I agree in theory but disagree in practice. Which makes me confused and annoying. The point is I really like this music and appreciate it all the more due to the high volume of amateur uploads of a similar nature.

@marxskate123 Sounds like she's playing with her nails

@marxskate123 her nails and nylon strings contribute to the bright tone.

@nohomatt couldn't help but see your comment. We sell Baroque guitars by Roosebeck here in the UK. There are a small brand from the USA.
Search guitar, and you will find our section of baroque instruments etc.
