It was only with the first generation that had overheating isseus causing capasitors to break. they fixed it in the second generation.

by problems i mean like spitting out disks and locking up a few minutes out of the box and getting the "vacuum cleaner mode" (three beeps then the fan goes crazy fast!).

and had a better PSU and did not use onboard RAM, causing almost no more problems, and where more enegy efficient thanks to the ALS. The disc spitting was never fixed until 2007. I never heard of the lockups...also there where several firmware update's to fix certain things troughout the years.

The "vacuum cleaner mode" with the 3 beeps mean there are no good RAM modules found (the onboard RAM, soldert to the logic board) this is once again caused by overheating and is ONLY caused in the first gen. the second and third gen where much more silent, ran cooler (thanks to the new version G5, and a redesingt heatsink)

Amen to that, I still use my pc, and it's 2.8 Ghz right out of the box, I can watch tv, render and edit at the same time, while downloading... never had a crash.

The dimensions are correct for the iMac G5 when it was first released in August of 2004. I made the ad soon afterward. Over the past few years, newer, slimmer iMac models have been released.

as for the work on the commercial, i gave you five stars. but as far as a computer goes, my preference is still the PC. yes, i realize that Mac's are based on a unix core, but so is Linux, and that can run on a PC. not just Windows (which of late is beginning to frustrate me, lol).
