i own an '88 celeb and it pulls alot harder like 40 on...mine will downshift at like 70 to pull...lol its a 4023 lbs wet no passengers.. it has no highend it accelerates faster if you let off so it will shift into seccond.. but not bad for such a fat ass car

The car didn't rev very well but it did have quite a bit of low-end torque in the v6.

A V6 with 160-180 ft/lbs of torque

That's actually pretty good for a v6 pre-90's

HP numbers are low at 135hp, that is simply because it doesnt rev high and is a low priced econo-mobile.

19-30mpg in a station wagon is good.

The torque is good for pulling out into and merging with traffic so you dont have to wait for it to rev before you really start moving like a certain Toyota I used to commute in.

1987 chevy celeb station wagon...the BEST car I ever owned. The engine started ALL the time, even in 20 below zero temps. Granted it was falling apart by the time we got rid of it...but I LOVED that car!!! So sad to see it towed off to the junkyard.
