This ceremony lasted over half an hour, I am not really sure of the entire length as I had shared quite a bit of Quetzalteca (a potent Guatemalan liquor)with the priests. I shared the liquor and they shared some watermelon with me. I believe that sharing and establishing a rapport with these people was critical in being allowed to tape this. If you just go in with cameras blazing you are sure to get a very cold, if not hostile, welcome.
