@FatAmericaProduction I'm pretty sure they just put the actual song's audio over the original. Microphones were a lot worse back then and audio for concert recordings often came out pretty shitty.
@FatAmericaProduction OR, what I think might be more likely is that's just a promo video. I mean, it doesn't look like a real concert anyways. If they were just recording a promo they wouldn't be rapping for real.
I was in 5th or 6th grade and had this tape. I had a dual karoke tape player taped to my handlebars of my bike and used to cruise around the neighbor hood and through the Hardes drive through. By the time I would get back home the batteries would be dying and the tape would be playing very slow.... loved it. How many albums you know that you play and know every song on. This is one of the few.
These guys started out as punk. Look up Polly Wog Stew. The music was supposed to be a parody of the idiot rappers. When they took this rap seriously, they bombed!!
This clip is when they were on Soul Train. Whether you like them or not, there is no denying that the Beastie Boys are the pioneers for white rappers. When they first came out with Licensed To Ill, I bought the "cassette". I will always be a Beastie Boys fan.
