Sandra Dee is singing this song! She was not known as a singer more for being a teenage actress. Singing this song was a "stretch" for Sandra and she did a damn good imitation of Marilyn. She even got the "warble" in her voice right!

Oh Marilyn... it's what we all long for with aching hearts. How my heart aches for you~that you didn't find your way to lasting fulfillment in your life. Maybe in your next lifetime... if there be such a thing. Never loose hope. I found a loyal, loving & honest match. Even if this is Sandra Dee...it's a sweet tribute. Marilyn's voice was very distinctive. She could sing this high, but her normal voice was deeper, breathier, fuller & more sensual. Her style formed post WWII & 50's.This came later

Marilyn was always looking for 'that Great Love' She needed a love~match intellectually, sensually & most importantly romantically(deeply loving). The intellect she got from Arthur Miller, the sensual I think she got from her Public oddly enough(no loyalty from the Kennedy brothers that's for sure).... and the deeply loving Romance she got from Joe... DiMaggio of course. He always remained loyal>placing roses on her crypt till the day he died. A very sweet tribute to ...what might have been.❤❤ ❤
