  • It was great, all the parameters of the performance were laid out before it was carried out, excellent performance! I was there, enjoyed every minute of it! Thanks everyone (",)

  • But there are some things that worry me (and others). As far as the performance went, I think it was well done, but DIDN'T reflect the WAIT message much. Perhaps the UK audience DOES have different needs, but still, you need to respect the vision and direction that Kate Tsubata and the parent leaders have for WAIT.

Another thing I'm worried about is that you felt the effort put into this performance felt unappreciated and disrespected. Like I said in my last comment, I appreciated it.

  • They are an independent charity, they should be able to spread their message in the way they want.

  • Hey guys, this is Ilseuk. I dont know if you remember me, but I came to help start the WAIT team in the UK all those years ago. Anyway, awesome job with this. The creativity was incredible, and I know how hard you mustve practiced to be able to do it so flawlessly. Great job.

I do hear what some others are saying, that it doesn't really have the WAIT message in it, and I sortve agree. All I can say is, keep up the good work, and try and always keep in mind what we're here to do. Thanks guys!

  • excellently creative choreography.. well performed and mixed superbly. great use of different styles and movements to keep the whole piece interesting. Bravo................ AJ

  • I'm on the WAIT team in New Jersey and I thought the whole performance was very well put together! I'm going to be completely honest it wasn't easy to see the message the first time I watched it, but I can see it in several areas of this performance. It's understandable that American and British audiences are different and if this works for your audience, that's great! I can't get over how creative it is. :) Excellent job.

  • uhm yeah worldwide peace in wait please...

on another note, all the wait teams should have some battle tourny or something. that wud be amazing

but cumon. honestly WAIT UK is the best

  • A lot of these comments given by the American WAIT team are absolutely proposterous. Just because they have been stuck with the same James Brown remix for the past 5 years, doesnt mean that you have to do the same. Your an independent group, with far more innovation than them, just because they helped start you up doesn't mean that they rule over you now. Respect their views, but when you know how wrong they are, dont listen to them. This dance is really amazing, dont let them stop your message!

  • Whats the point of the breakdance?! isnt it to excite and get the crowd going?!which i think is totally necessary. this is exactly what this performance has done! instead of people being bored at the rose dance. which personally ive seen about 30 times, no joke(dont get me wrong, it is a beautiful dance!) they will be saying wow that WAIT team has amazing potential, their basically professional.. and it was meant to be so much longer, the actual story in it was cut out because of timing.

  • In my point of view they were absolutely amazing. Im only 13 years old and my understanding, through this performance is that not only is the message important but whats behind it aswell. WAIT is a group of young people coming together to create something amazing, rather then being on streets or doing nothing. Secondly i agree with the above an english audience is 100% different to an American, english people have a more judgemental and sceptical nature therefore WAIT uk need something special.

  • hmmm, the dance was rather interesting.

all i have to say is that, as long as there's a balance between entertainment and spreading the message, then UK WAIT will be find. it wasn't as horribly bad as i was told it would be but it definitely wasn't the best thing in the world either. but you know, there's always room for improvement. for all of us in WAIT.

  • wow, there was so much creativity in that video! nice performance :)

as wait teams we can all help eachother and also help the world by spreading the message of the dangers of AIDs ^_^

  • So, instead of arguing about what team is better, focus more on the people who will need us out there. Not only do they need us, but we very much need them, to spread our message and to make the world a safer place to live. You can be as good as want, but you can't be sidetracked by trying to be the best.

The main focus is our message:

Help the world rid of AIDs.

So I say again, wonderful performance, and stay positive with a focused mind. There are many out there that need our help.

  • We need to care even more about the fact that some people out there don't have the opportunities like we do, so we should be thankful for our talent. Yes, I know that managing a great and powerful performance is one of the top priorities, but our major goal is to spread the awareness of AIDs.

There's always room for improvement, but what we really need to hope for is that people will at least recieve the message we're sending out, so that the future generations of our world can live more safely

  • Great performance!

I'm actually a part of the Worcester WAIT team and have to say that you guys did an excellent job! I've been reading the comments and it looks like some people can't agree with one another. Whether the performance looks well or not, we, as the WAIT community have to realize that the audience is not there for us, but that we're there for them. Honestly, we are showing the audience that no matter who you are, and no matter what problem you face, you have some sort of talent.

  • sorry if my comment earlier was a bit harsh my apologies.i just find it annoying how people in the WAIT community are questioning our motives. especially the fact that includes adults.but please don't take this performance seriously because its only a performance.after all we are one family under WAIT. plus we know you likede it :D.

  • This performance is really good.

    Great job.

  • One thing that you have to understand is that people in the uk are sceptical and satirical by nature. Amazing things are looked at with mild interest, while poor or avarage performances are thrown in the pits and mocked. Not meaning any disrespect atall, the american way that was first adopted by wait-uk just wouldn't be effective to the gpf audience.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but, wasn't the original wait team dancing to a remix of sex-machine? now tell me, what is the positive message in that?

  • It's a james brown remix but we have never performed the breakdance with that part of the song in it. It was totally edited out in WAIT version. I agree with you that it would be a very negative message to keep it in.

  • Im sorry that wait-uk members working hard on their dance to look good for the sake of the audience doesn't sit well with you.

These kids have work hard for months to make an impact and get the attention of as many people as possible. Isn't that an important necessity of wait? No message get spread atall if people arn't watching, no matter how good or valuable it may be.

  • All the complaints I have heard so far are from people within the WAIT community. If our own people cannot support us then what's going to happen?

We are the team, we know what works and what doesn't. In the UK we have to have be very good to grab peoples attention. And that is what we are doing. People now will hear WAIT UK and think "Yeah, good performers. Ill go watch them." And they will listen to what we have to say. Rather than "Yeah... nice message but I've heard it before..."

  • i'm sorry if this performance is not the most postive, i dont know if you have heard the interpretation that i sent up but the story may not be the typical hollywood happy ending you americans prefer. but in britain reality hits home much greater and that reality is not everything goes well but we can learn from that and this performance is about how things are and how they should change and this story is about a woman looking back. At least you should be able to apprecciate the creativity .

  • What is the postive message in this dance? I'm still confused what the message was suppose to be. WAIT dances like A Rose is Still A Rose and Desert dance have positive and importantt messages. As a WAIT memeber this performance is not what WAIT is all about.
