  • This is why I'll never buy an American car anymore. They're not reliable like they use to be. I'd rather buy an old beat-up 90' Honda Civic than a 2010 vehicle that'll probably blow a gasket at 60,000 miles.

  • Gm engineered to fail? lol. All automatics are engineered to fail. This is why the government is trying to get rid of manuals, because they last longer ( If you know how to drive it of course. )

  • @visionimagify

IDK about that....seems to me that those japanese automatic cars last quite a while..

  • GM's failure wasn't necessarily wagoner. their business model existed before him and it involved six figure salaries for union men. The unions destroyed GM.

  • @Averyofthemain. Right-wing idiocy and nonsense. I guess you didn't know Japan and Germany and France have unions as well. America's unions are the ONLY reason we have a middle class today. But I guess you also think ceo's deserve a better wage than you simply because....they do.

It is the CEO and ONLY the ceo's job to ensure the company is making a top quality product. Japan and Germany did that. America's ceo's don't. They depend on weak minded people to blame unions instead of the "leaders".

  • @theblackauth0rity It's basic economics. When poor performance cannot be punished there is no incentive to excel, the union rules made firing or demotion for poor performance cost-prohibitive, and to pay the inflated salaries prices had to go up. Hence, A crappier product for an inflated price equals financial ruin.

  • @Averyofthemain It is the ceo's job to insure the company is making a good car....not the union.

The companies are not profitable because people don't like their shoddy product. Even paying Mexican labor hasn't made up for that shortfall.

I notice you didn't say anything about Japanese or German car company unions. And their benefits are FAR more generous than America's.

Why is it unions are not a problem for Japanese or German car companies? Until you answer that you have nothing to say.

  • @theblackauth0rity Not according to UAW rules, quality control is a Union post, but not in Japan and not in germany, you fallaciously stated that Japanese and German unions were more generous, really? The average union worker in Japan makes 2200 a month but can negotiate individually for good performance, not here. UAW also says that grass cutters are the same as line workers...they aren't, and yet they're paid the same.

  • @Averyofthemain If the CEO approves producing a faulty car all the line worker can do is assure it is assembled properly. He has no say in the engineering process. Please look up a definition of "quality control"---No where does it say "design control".

GM and Ford sell fewer cars today because they have sold a faulty product and customers abandoned them. The result was bankruptcy. That has NOTHING to do with with the workers. The problem at GM was the ceo's/con artists. Period.

  • @theblackauth0rity

that's a good point brother....i've always wondered why auto unions can work in europe and japan but not here???

  • what is funny blackauthority

is i went 4 my construction jobs and all the white kids had there dad 2 look after them and give them and i was always working hard 2 look 4 jobs from 16 to 21 i always had 2 work hard

    2 even find work

as the white kids now ALOT OF THEM ARE SHIT WORKERS BUT THEY STILL GETTING WORK and black folks we have 2work double hard 2 find work SO I CAN CO-SIGN ON THIS VID coming from the UK

  • every time I watch this video it brings a smile to my face! You NEVER hear people come this hard and this REAL when discussing corporate criminals...

    'Thanks TBA

  • I hope that TBA was against the bailouts. In a real Capitalist system no one bank or car maker or any private firm is entitled to power. That is how it ought to be but they partnered with government and government, with its monopoly on the lawful application of force, it power of taxation and the mint, took away the best feature of Capitalism, loss and eventual bankrupcy for firms that act like this. Now big cooporations are also powerful and that is distressing to say the least.

  • I am against the concept of "too big to fail". The only way something can become too big to fail is if it has unjustly put itself into a position where it is the only game in town, at which point it begins abusing it's position as such when it becomes so large that it can take down our entire economy.

At this point the corporations ARE the government. We are living under a corporate tyranny. Forget the Masons. You have the "Macy's"!

  • So true, "Forget the Masons. You have the "Macy's". Black Authority, you have a fan and follower in the city of Atlanta, AKA Land of the Independent Strong Black Women and Black San Fran, know what I mean? I will be using my refund to start my online business these next few months, and I am starting a BLACK MEN ONLY NETWORK for work, jobs, money, so we can help each other brainstorm on getting ours. This recession has made clear that we can get ours without the White man's fuck ups.

  • REMINDS ME OF our AFRICAN LEADERS in africa, that are ROSEY-PALM PICKED by the WORLD BANKS & IMF to run african nations into the ground so the COUNTRIES can be in debt & come running to the COLONALIST DECEDANTS aka WORLD BANKS for Carrot Danggled ASSISSTANCE....

    NICE JOB BLACK

  • Pretty much. Unfortunately, the President (or dictator, depending on who you speak), of my homeland Eritrea is not on America's dick and IMF style slavery, so the US, UK, Uganda! just passed through sanctions in the UN. But its going to fail because Amerikkka has finally been exposed as a big joke. It's up to Black people worldwide to make our own Nations so we can rid ourselves of these snakes once and for all.

  • Exactly, Mark! Thanks for my over-sight and yes, you are correct--more like MILLIONS these "leaders" are getting paid to RUN companies into the ground. Yet, scared as fucc as a black man at the helm MAY do a "competent" job. Ain't THAT a bitch? lol....shaking my head. Poor Obama, he's got his work cut out for him. He won't be judged on TRYING to clean up Bush's chit, he WILL be judged as a BLACK man.

  • CEO's are paid thousands of dollars more than the employees that work under their helm, yet ARE rewarded for fuccing up a company.

    Again, make US understand?

  • Thousands? More like millions.

  • and to state that when the mass Media makes the announcement about their departing, "do NOT "place blame on me in stating that I fucc'd up this company." Make US understand this? shaking my head...

  • BA, the thing of it is that if we're being honest here? How many WHITE MALES, at the helm of many corporations have either brought these companies to near ruin or filed bankruptcy due to misappropriating money, not working knowledge of these jobs (my daddy got it for me!) but yet have the GALL to command a lucrative "exit package"

  • Excellent. I must admit I didn't know the story of Wagoner's rise at GM before this. Same old story, over and over and over. I don't know why I'm still surprised by this crap.

  • Awesome video black authority. I don't agree with you on everything, but this one was great.

  • damn rick

  • Colin Powell was Sec. of State, not Sec. of Defense.

  • Considering the fact most Black females today think the "Secretary" of ANYTHING is govt. is a receptionist I'm impressed that you think it's revelatory to post such minutia (look it up, kid). That anyone who would favorite "Dark Knight meets Superman" would have any knowledge of civics is astounding. The video originally was going to mention Donald Rumsfeld but I copied and pasted wrong. However, this is just YouTube, not the Magna Carta or a Supreme Court brief so I left it as is and still will

  • i'm not a black female

  • Then get lost.

  • I guess people being aware of differing subject matter is something that's alien to you. I favorite "Dark Knight meets Superman' because i find it amusing. I have knowledge of civics because it was taught to me in school.

  • Thats them evil european jews

  • 1:01 so....he has a degree and mba in business eh.....and from Harvard too.....and yet this shit happened.....well thank got a don't waste a million dollars a day goin to Harvard

also note that bill gates (the richest man in the world) DROPPED OUT OF HARVARD, i don't know what that tells you but it tells me that if you wanna fail graduate from Harvard, wanna be rich drop out of Harvard....and these 2 men are proof

  • Deliciously ironic.

  • Interesting and enlightening!

  • Notice how mother's day passed and the same type of speech wasn't said about derelict mothers?

I doubt Obama will make the same speech again this coming Father's Day.

  • glad you reposted this.

  • Interesting! I love to be informed!

  • one thing i don't get is why alot of black people look at obama like he is jesus or something the goverment cannot solve all your problems a lot say they voted 4 him because he's black im like wow and they can't tell you any thing about him well he make good speeches and stuff and he black well im black and in the forth grade i won and award 4 public speaking that doesn't me i can lead a nation to mant of us r caught op in the hype and not the facts we would rather have false hope than no hope

  • We all know this system is a joke and their wizadry economics, that they invented, and yet still can't even master.
