I'm not trying to make the situation sound any better, BUT the USA dropped thousands of flyers over ALL of the cities they where thinking about bombing. Stating that they only wanted to destroy the military factories NOT the civilians. The people knew this was going to happen. they where told that it would not happen and they would be fine and to stay by their government. DAYS in advance. They also had a broadcast of the same thing that was on the flyer playing on loop for days.

Dropping the atomic bombs saved thousands of American lives and millions more Japanese lives. It was either this, or an amphibious invasion that would have guaranteed many more dead civilians. Most of the Japanese people back then were fanatical, and being fed all that propaganda, would do anything to defend their country. Little known fact, Japan was working on the bomb too. During a routine bombing run, they destroyed the closest prototype, and the Japanese had to start over.

The loss of life for both the Japanese (including civilians) and the Allies would have been monumentally more than an attack on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Japan side was considering that they could not continue the war. Also, the US leaders knew Japan was seeking for peace. Therefore, the US did not have to use the atomic bombs to end the war. However, the atomic bombs were used, leaving needless civilian casualty over 200k.

I'm not trying to make the situation sound any better, BUT the USA dropped thousands of flyers over ALL of the cities they where thinking about bombing. Stating that they only wanted to destroy the military factories NOT the civilians. The people knew this was going to happen. they where told that it would not happen and they would be fine and to stay by their government. DAYS in advance. They also had a broadcast of the same thing that was on the flyer playing on loop for days.

Dropping the atomic bombs saved thousands of American lives and millions more Japanese lives. It was either this, or an amphibious invasion that would have guaranteed many more dead civilians. Most of the Japanese people back then were fanatical, and being fed all that propaganda, would do anything to defend their country. Plus there were many military factories and installations in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Either we did something to make the emperor give up, or Japan would have kept on fighting

Not to mention that the bomb predominately killed civilians, while the attack of Pearl Harbor was just an attack on its naval base. I understand, however, the reason behind the bombing. It was an effective way in ending the war between the Japanese and Americans, saving countless of lives by preventing an invasion of Japan. Peaceful civilians never wanted this war, why did they have to suffer, what did they possibly do to deserve such brutal death. This was an unfair fight America, and you know it... War was never on your side of the field. Unlike British, Russians, Polish, hell, even Japanese, you didn't have significant losses among civilians..

The way it should be looked at is that it was a horrific and tragic attack. HOWEVER they say around 66000 people died in the immediate attack of Hiroshima. The loss of life for both the Japanese (including civilians) and the Allies would have been monumentally more than an attack on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And also think that if the Japanese had nuclear technology they would not have hesitated to drop it on New York or Washington, and after that London.

Japan side was considering that they could not continue the war. Also, the US leaders knew Japan was seeking for peace. Therefore, the US did not have to use the atomic bombs to end the war. However, the atomic bombs were used, leaving needless civilian casualty over 200k.

And also it is a known fact that the US warned the Japanese about the bombing Nagasaki and Hiroshima. I think what you Japs need to learn is that you caused the war and that payback is a bitch.

Nanking was murder for when an army captures a city the death of civilians should go down rapidly. Strategic bombing kills civies until the country surrenders or the city is captured
