I do understand from reading other sources that Nena doesn't change her ways. I've never advocated that she was heroic, justified, or even sane. My only stances have been that (without knowing what hapens in the rest of the series) judging her now is like judging the other meisters right after they committed their bad deeds.

Don't get me wrong, anger and jealousy are horrible reasons to do something; but I've been pissed and jealous many times in my life, and I haven't killed a single person. The notion that there was no underlying problem with her that allowed her to do that without conscience is unrealistic. Nena may very well be a psychopath/sociopath; but I fail to see how her brand of clinically insane is more horrible than Allelujah's.
Nena doesn't have a clinical disease, and Allelujah dose, most likely schizophrenia, Nena is just a bitch. Setsuna has regretted what he did to his parents for many years even when he was in the KPRS
I don't think either of us is medically qualified to make that decision. Even if were were, we couldn't hold therapy sessions to confirm/refute a hypothesis.
Here's the difference, Allelujah didn't choose to be the way he is, Nena Chose to pull that trigger that killed Louise's Family and I don't believe she even felt sorry for it, where as Allelujah knows about Hallelujah and regrets everything he does. Nena simily doesn't have the compation for others. She's like a class clown that takes the joke too far and doesn't realise why she was being punished. Allelujah knows what he's doing and that its bad. That is the difference between right and wrong.
Nena (as she presently is) did choose to pull the trigger; but you're asuming that Nena is not insane. Her extreme mood swings in "Attack of the Thrones" is a possible indicator that she is. If Allelujah could be driven insane by conditions at the institute; it's quite possible that Nena may have succumbed to them as well. Allelujah's schizophrenia is more dramatic; but being conditioned into sociopathy/psychopathy is no less of a mental impairment.
(Slight spoiler) Nena is not Insane and shows no evidence before her brothers were killed in front of her, even then she was driven into rage. Not Insanity. Like I said, Nena doesn't care about the rest of Humanity, she only cares about herself and her brothers. Nena only shows slight signs of insanity right before her death due to the rage and veneges she took on the ones responsible for her brothers deaths.
Core, I never said what Nena did was right (or that it helped the mission); but you are judging her immediately after the fact. If you judge Setsuna immediately after killing his parents (or Allelujah immediately after murdering the child in his flashback); it would be easy to say they should die as well. You aren't giving her time to regret what she's done & change into a "tainted savior", as you say Allelujah has done.

I haven't seen the end of the series yet. I can't say I have a problem with it, as this isn't some kind of detective drama, but others might not appreciate the spoilers without getting a warning.
If what you say is true, then the series writers clearly gave Nena the same time to change that they gave the others; which is what I've said all along. Nena did something indefensible, but that doesn't make her any less worthy of time to change than the other meisters.

Nena's ability to interface with Veda proves that she is not a normal human, and her eye color changed when she was in contact with Veda. And please remember that Allelujah's other self is even more bloodthirsty than Nena. The side of Nena we see could be her other self.

I do understand from reading other sources that Nena doesn't change her ways. I've never advocated that she was heroic, justified, or even sane. My only stances have been that (without knowing what hapens in the rest of the series) judging her now is like judging the other meisters right after they committed their bad deeds.
Also, people who say Nena should be killed are themselves guilty of what she did: judging whether others should live/die. I find it an ironic protest of her actions.

Setsuna was brainwashed into killing his parents, Allelujah was made a split personality psyco, and Nena chose to bomb that wedding cause she was pissed and jealous that is what seperates them. Actually I think the oldest of the trinity at the moment is the most level headed of the three

How exactly does that make them better than Nena? Don't get me wrong, anger and jealousy are horrible reasons to do something; but I've been pissed and jealous many times in my life, and I haven't killed a single person. The notion that there was no underlying problem with her that allowed her to do that without conscience is unrealistic. Nena may very well be a psychopath/sociopath; but I fail to see how her brand of clinically insane is more horrible than Allelujah's.

Here's the difference, Allelujah didn't choose to be the way he is, Nena Chose to pull that trigger that killed Louise's Family and I don't believe she even felt sorry for it, where as Allelujah knows about Hallelujah and regrets everything he does. Nena simily doesn't have the compation for others. She's like a class clown that takes the joke too far and doesn't realise why she was being punished. Allelujah knows what he's doing and that its bad. That is the difference between right and wrong.

Nena (as she presently is) did choose to pull the trigger; but you're asuming that Nena is not insane. Her extreme mood swings in "Attack of the Thrones" is a possible indicator that she is. If Allelujah could be driven insane by conditions at the institute; it's quite possible that Nena may have succumbed to them as well. Allelujah's schizophrenia is more dramatic; but being conditioned into sociopathy/psychopathy is no less of a mental impairment.

(Slight spoiler) Nena is not Insane and shows no evidence before her brothers were killed in front of her, even then she was driven into rage. Not Insanity. Like I said, Nena doesn't care about the rest of Humanity, she only cares about herself and her brothers. Nena only shows slight signs of insanity right before her death due to the rage and veneges she took on the ones responsible for her brothers deaths.

Core, I never said what Nena did was right (or that it helped the mission); but you are judging her immediately after the fact. If you judge Setsuna immediately after killing his parents (or Allelujah immediately after murdering the child in his flashback); it would be easy to say they should die as well. You aren't giving her time to regret what she's done & change into a "tainted savior", as you say Allelujah has done.

On the subject of Allelujah, he made a concious decision to end those kids lives. It was a tactical strike, hence the mission. I'm not saying its right or wrong, its war. As for killing houndreds of people sitting around doing nothing and having nothing to do with the millitary or the war, thats pretty evil. As a foot note if super soldier stuff was happening in the real world then the same thing would happen. Someone would preceive it as a threat and make a strike, kids or no.

Setsuna is currently trying to make up for his past. If you looked at Setsuna days after he killed his parents (instead of the years that have gone between then & now) it would be more accurate than comparing him to her now.
If Setsuna was allowed the benefit of time (& a "religious experience" where he was saved by a gundam) to change, Nena should at least be given time to come to terms with her actions.
Setsuna is still a religious terrorist, he just converted to worshiping Gundam.

I haven't seen the end of the series yet. I can't say I have a problem with it, as this isn't some kind of detective drama, but others might not appreciate the spoilers without getting a warning.
If what you say is true, then the series writers clearly gave Nena the same time to change that they gave the others; which is what I've said all along. Nena did something indefensible, but that doesn't make her any less worthy of time to change than the other meisters.

As for people wanting Nena to die/be killed, that just drips with hypocricy. Hoping someone kills her is just like hoping someone kills Setsuna after he murdered his parents, or hoping the institute executes Allelujah after he killed other children.
Remember that the "heroes" in this show were given time to come to terms with what they'd done and become repentant. Just because what Nena did was wrong (and it was) doesn't make her less deserving of the second chance the other meisters got.

Allelujah and Setsuna were both kids that being used as tools by adults. Which leave on emotional isolated and the other a split murderous personality. When they were free they wanted to make amends. That why I give them alot of slack.
As for Nana she a teenagers with powerful gundam at her command, no one force her to kill, and she did it for pity reasons.

Allelujah had no other choice, those children would not be able to live normal lives, just like Allelujah and Soma Pierres were unable to do. Its all a matter of opinion though.
Nena's only reason was jealousy and fun, Setsuna and Allelujah regret their past, Nena doesn't regret a thing.

Of course disliking a character doesn't make you a hypocrite. I never advocated that. What is hypocritical however, is the philosophy that Nena (a murderer) should be killed; when Setsuna & Allelujah (both, also murderers) shouldn't.
Setsuna & Allelujah were allowed time to live with what they'd done, feel remorse, and try to change. Believing that Nena is less deserving of that opportunity than they are is hypocritical.

Can you really say that any of the Trinitys are truly themselves? Nena's ability to interface with Veda proves that she is not a normal human, and her eye color changed when she was in contact with Veda. They actually became the same color as Allelujah's & the supersoldier's eyes. If they can be emotionally traumatized to get a pass, so can the Trinitys. And please remember that Allelujah's other self is even more bloodthirsty than Nena. The side of Nena we see could be her other self.
