What a pity man, what's with the actually spending time with your son all about? And OUTSIDE no less? Don't you know that the proper way to raise kids is to plop them in front of a TV all day to play video games or watch animated shows of animals acting like people? Or have them sulk around the mall all day texting crap to each other?
Very good shot . I wish for you that you get in better physical shape. Life and hunting becomes more enjoyable . best wishes from one that used to be fat too.
that was sick!!!! awsome shot and video! Ive done alot of rifle/shotgun hunting and want to get into achery hunting. what are some good compound bows 500$ and underish??
I bet depending on the broadheads you were using, that shot probably severed every blood carrying organ in the upper body. not to mention it probably hit the spine which cut off any delivery of pain to the brain. awesome shot. Not the best angle when hunting with a bow, but because of the distance, the arrow angle took care of any chance of just wounding the animal.. Very well done.
Hey VidZFoRLifE1 , when was the last time you saw venison in your Wal-Mart? Deer is one of the best meats you can eat! Way better than the most expensive beef in you market. Chew on that for awhile!
@gettinold2 Im a huge believer in eating venison. But dont take for granted that alot of people dont cook it or prepare it correctly and it wont taste very good. I bust 5 or 6 a year to eat on. It sucks that people mouth the taste of deer bc the one time they had it, it wasnt good. You gotto know how to cook it.
Dude that was AWESOME!!!!! Jackwagons can say what they want to about the shot angle.... I can and do shoot deer front on and I have the same results as you did on this doe. It's funny how people buy into the horse crap that the so called professionals say is right and wrong. Do a study of where the lungs are and you will see the arrow was placed perfect... Good job My furthest was 94 yrds
The only problem I have is the shot angle... Other then thats awesome shot.. If you know you equipment and what it can do no problem.. I have buddies who routinely kill antelope at 70 and a 100 yds..
dude thats kinda pathetic killing a deer, even when its a doe dude. seriously the deer was jsut monding its own business and u have to kill. plz dont say u gotta feed ur family, its called a walmart or a target or a grocery store.
Great shot! Good to see a future outdoorsman learning the ropes. And i'm stoked you shoot an Omen. I'd expect nothing less from PSE. I have an EVO and at 72 lbs DW and 29.5 DL my 401 grain arrow flies at 301 fps. Someday i want an Omen. Keep up the American tradition. Aloha.
Your my hero man! I just got an Axis deer 4 weeks ago from 63yds, I was shooting my Bear Mauler at 63#'s 230 fps with a 445 gn arrow and Slick trick Magnums. It is possible to make clean shots like this if you are confident, have a good rangefinder, practice frequently at that range and there isn't any wind. Kudos man!
Shoot at the distance you feel comfortable period. I would say that most people on here are peta lovers anyhow. Great shot and hope she was good eatin! Kudos to you on taking your son with you and showing him that daddy can and will put meat on the table. After all.. ( speaking to everyone)if you're just a trophy hunter..you're just a killer in my eyes.
exforce11, great shot, great that you keep your family in hunting and hunting in the family. I think it is ethical to exercise good judgment and hone your skills to where you can make that shot a sure shot. Fred Bear, Howard Hill and probably the Native Americans all took those kinds of shots, especially when it is about putting meat on the table. Bravo Bro.
good job bro .. like i have always say if you have the equipment and the ability to do it .. go for it ... some people like todo target shooting at 100 yrds .. i do all the time but my longest shot to a deer was 60 yrds cuz i havent have the chance to take a longer one .. for everyone els out there bashing on you #$%^*'em
you people are ridiculous. If he's well rehearsed and practises then there is no reason that he shouldn't take this shot with the gear he's hunting with...(I won't poke about it being a PSE lol). We all have our limits and as long as you are aware of yours then why bother with him and his? Just because you can't hit a a elephant at 20 yds doesn't make it unethical for someone with more skill to. I hunt up to 80yds. That's my limit, the day I wound and don't recover I may reconsider
Great shot. and for those who think the founders would have never taken this shot need to do little research in to the English long bow and see just how far those old bow men could and would shoot. too many people think of this as a sport. my fam. uses this for our food for the year to save money he's eating it and can make the shot get off his back . great shot I'm work'en on 60 and 70 yards right now. good luck
for all of the people here who are complaining about how ethical this is i suggest you take a look at the factories where the cows, pigs and poultry you eat on a daily basis are held in disgusting conditions and treated like shit before they are statistically shot in the head putting an end to their miserable lives. at least this deer ran free and had a good life before hand, can you ethically say the same for the meat that you are consuming. This is by far the most humane method of getting meat
great shot man, dont let these people bother you, the average guy who shoots his bow once a month couldnt do this, its obvious you practice alot congrats on the kill.
The point is that the shot should not have been attempted at that distance. I agree that I will stand and fight with you but in this case you are wrong.
Nice shot... Lots of haters comments though. Wonder if you put a camera on the front of a train and they saw all the deer get hit, wonded and mangeled if they would cry and make them put deer bumpers on the trains, or even cars? Whats worse is when the deer get over populated and get that disease where they basically die of starvation and dehydration over several months of pain... Thats crewl... Your shot did the job!
Why bust the guys balls? He made a great shot at an unbelievable distance! But all you whiney babies who clicked on it because you thought that was AWESOME, have a problem with it.....shut up and if you dont like what you see DONT click on long archery doe shots any more....too many chiefs in the sport...if your comfortable at 3 yards great have at it..if your comfortable at 110 yards go for it!
Great shot, man! Don't let all the negative comments bother you. They are just envious of your shooting ability, and wish they could make such a shot.
You are INCREDIBLY lucky this deer did not move. You know they react, since you had one jump the string at 10 yards. It's not about whether you know you can hit a target at 100 yards, it's about knowing you cannot make the animal stand still until your arrow gets there. Not a good shot to take. If you had hit the front leg bone you most likely would have had a wounded deer. Again, lucky.
It's a great shot, just not a great shot to take when hunting.
back off of the guy. He made a call in the field that was good. right equipment, open area, deer not moving, he KNEW he could shoot that shot and did it, with good placement of front presentation. Yeah i am jealous of the shot, but not envious. Envy is jealousy with hatred attached. exforce11, do what you do best, shoot deer!!
Yea it's a shot that I can't do but that deer wasn't saying much for long. So the fact is that this deer is dead and NOT wounded. If you are not certain you can make the shot then don't take it BUT in this case he did. I'm sure shots like this are rather rare for him and even if they are not rare so long as it's done right what's the problem? By the way I think it is way more important to teach our kids the value of our natural resources and the value of life. The kid obviously knows its dinner.
my goal in bowhunting is to make myself get deer in close to harvest them, thats y i quit gun hunting. im proud as a hunter ur son said lets cut him up to eat, i hope if i have kids im that lucky as a parent and hunter. all im saying is peta loves stuff like this to make us look bad as hunters. as one hunter to another , sir, i was just lending my opinion to another hunter on my beliefs as a bowhunter. i quit gun hunting because i hated shootin deer that far, so no way i wuld try with my bow
if that deer wouldve moved at all or u wouldve done any thing wrong with ur bow form that couldve been a wounded deer running around. im happy for you that you harvested this doe, but as an ethical hunter i wouldnt take this shot with a gun, let alone a bow. im not bashing you man but thats just not ethical at all! to much couldve went wrong. and i hope you dont let little man think its ok to grow up and shoot a deer this far. fred bear and the founders wouldve never ever agreed to like this
DANG that is an unreal bow shot. I am seriously impressed. not many can hit at 50 yards, much less 110! SHAZAM that is some awesome shooting
